We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

All 6 of them were theory people who were at NALSAR at the same time between 2011 and 2015. Plus, Dhanda was still years away from retiring. Had FM put in half the effort to retain these people as he did for his YT efforts of educating India, NALSAR could have moved into 2020s with a large concentration of people solid in theory who could cover multiple other subjects.
Between them this lot taught English, Legal Methods, Constitution, International Law, Law & Poverty, Administrative Law, Environmental Law, Property Law, and Civil Procedure. Thatโs 9 different core courses. They all ran a variety of other electives and seminars. FM let each and everyone of them go.
There is a new song-&-danve every alternate month from these guys.
What is the reason? Is it the nature of work or a few bad apples in the leadership position who are ruining the culture?
On the other hand AAP leaders were denied bail by SC itself tells whats going to happen to all
Lets take a break from Kejriwal and Electoral Bonds and discuss this!!

Btw was the contact at Partner level?
It was marked contested later. But he is not the first person to be saying such things.
Also, Murthy is not comparable to her. Is the head of a vertical/manager at infy not reviewing the work of the subordinates? That is the parallel to be drawn here
You mean like the Electoral Bonds?

Irony writ large
2. It's not exactly politically motivated but politics is split on anti-trust itself. Anti-trust is very political at its heart as well. It originated to stop economic power from becoming political power. Then certain a view overtook that anti-trust doesn't serve its own goal (Read Richard Posner or a short summary of his views) and now we are back again to the point of origin as originalists have taken over. So antitrust objectives move.
3. This lawsuit is largely affecting how much money Apple makes for its software and not hardware. Apple is slowly moving from a hardware company to a software company. As part of that move, these legal interventions are troublesome for the company.
4. Refer to the answer above. If anything, to offset its lower software revenue, Apple product prices may witness price increases. Who knows. They have quite a captive audience. Apple has never reduced prices on anything. It treats itself as a lifestyle or luxury brand. The aspirational lap it up. Any such effect on prices etc. is a long way away in litigation.
5. Errr ... What? Don't be vain. Don't be envious. Law firm bros and gals are mostly depressed. Trust me. Speaking of which, an Android flagship costs as much as an iPhone. In the case of folding phones, even more.
Hiring is a hit or miss here as it's the most sought out practice in the firm.
Interning there is the best chance you have.
Thank you :)
If nothing else, in these 5 years learn about credibility of sources you're trying to quote.
Starting a sentence with 'honey' may make you feel good, but I can already feel the condescending tone through the screen - it makes you look like a ginormous moron.
She stood for her team and called out the persons attitude, which IMHO is rare these days.
Grow up world, and get a life. Get your houses in order (personal and professional) before you get to judge someone else.
As a partner, what she did is RIGHT, and those who are not privy to the facts, stay away. This should be the least of your concerns.
NO ONE ever called out the person who leaked a confidential email, which is meant only for the team. Its called a team for a reason. This is a massive trust issue. And THAT should have been the concern. If the person can't keep a team email confidential, how are they to be trusted with work? Or otherwise?
Worse shit happens in other places and people bury it 10 feet deep. Or ignore it. And here you are finding fault with a partner who called out juniors for their unprofessionalism and attitude. If you're telling me you've never been yelled at by a colleague, senior, or client, you're fooling yourself and everyone else.
I can name partners who are toxic on the inside, and make life miserable for their team, but are all decked up and smiles on the outside. I've worked with someone who screams their heart out and abuses you for no real reason, just to show who the boss is.
If you're touchy about criticism and feedbacks, sorry friends, please stay away from the professional circles.
If any of you even cared about the persons named in the email, their mental peace, wellbeing, career and life in general, you wouldn't be circulating the email, or reading it, or letting your tongue loose.
SHAME ON YOU ALL.
We only want to claim our legitimate rights as promised by NALSAR. We did not ask for FM to give impetus to DOMS and should not be forced to bear the consequences of it.

"While the report doesnโt outline the reasons, experts suspect heavy use of social media to be one of the key reasons for the high unhappiness rates. Social media has been attributed to driving down the self-esteem of the young. In fact, US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy had called for legislation on the use of social media for the young, citing that adolescents were spending nearly five hours a day and a third were staying up until midnight on week nights on their devices. He had said that legislation was required to protect and reduce the harms of social media to young people. The excessive use of social media by the young has also led to a loneliness pandemic, which is affecting the happiness levels of people."

Do you see where it's going? The truth is that there is no real solution to this. The admin can only make counselling facilities available, it can't knock on the door of every student and force them to undergo counselling. I am not a fan of sudhir and I don't agree with most of his policies including the expansion plan but that does not mean I politicize every freaking incident and try to attack him.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/mar/22/gaza-ceasefire-vetoed-un
"A US resolution urging a ceasefire in Gaza linked to a hostage deal has been vetoed by Russia and China in the UN security council, extending a five-month impasse in the international body over the Israel-Hamas war.
Eleven council members voted for the resolution on Friday morning; Russia, China and Algeria voted against it and Guyana abstained"
Long work hours and toxicity are not the same. You can have long work hours and a great working environment and similarly regular work hours that are unbearable due to toxicity.
2. Is this case politically motivated, because of the US elections?
3. Will this lawsuit result in Apple phones costing less?
4. Consequently, will Apple phones lose their brand value, if they cost the same as a Samsung or Xiaomi?
5. And, consequently, will T1 law firm bros fall into serious depression, because they can't show off their Apple gadgets and impress others?
1. The interns sit at the 2nd floor while the associates are on Floor 13, so there's a LOT of disconnect
2. The system assigned to work is crappy
3. They dont promptly assess interns either unless you are in your final year.
I don't even think it can be termed as "research". Real research involves gathering primary data/setting up experiments/lab research, etc. Lawyers want to pat themselves on the back for having opinions.
- someone who just published a legal essay.
Additionally, there was a plan to convert SHs 1, 2, and 3 into classrooms, but this has encountered controversy as DOMS students oppose it for reasons best known to them.
This has led to a significant amount of strife on campus and has created a Law vs Management scenario. Many law students are now expressing opposition to including DOMS students in the SBA and other decision-making bodies. They fear that DOMS students, particularly the current 2nd-year IPM students, will use their committee positions to block law students' initiatives.
What do you all think about these developments?
Because they are noojies.
Because having Whatsapp groups before having any useful content to share therein is what is cringe.
"Are we fools who pursued one single degree for 5 years straight, spending lakhs of rupees in the process?" - No, but you saved a year, right? Even better for you. Why so insecure?
NLS is betting big on the 3 year course. So there is a market for it.
Furthermore, internal batch group ke jhagde public forum mai kyu laa rhe ho
Kakkar is well known for her unapologetic rudeness in the legal and client community. Only a bully knows another bully so well. Building a name in the field doesnโt give one a free pass to butcher your team mates publicly.
No one is a saint in this scenario.
That, along with the OP's love for rhetoric without any concrete argument or evidence while randomly bashing an entire batch is clearly a shitty attitude to have
Ahahahahahahaha
Are you a lawyer? What world do you live in? โPolice Caseโ Ahahahahahaha ๐คฃ
Additionally if anyone has an idea if they would be looking to hire from the 2025 batch. If yes, would it be a good idea to approach a partner directly?
Thanks
AMS showed his face and withdrew. One ought to ask, what prompted that!? Rhetorical question! Did AMS realize that this bench won't put up with him taking shortcuts!?
