But in case of reservations its the UC tax payers who overwhelmingly cover their cost. I.e it's charity money and not their right
Kerala is example of this
go talk to someone who actually runs a business
the thing is that such opulence in Indian legal circles, or in any circles in India at all, is not appreciated
You don't want to paint a target on your back - socially, politically, economically
Merc, Audi - ok
porche, ferrari, lambo - not ok
Only builders or children of second gen industrialists buy such cars
2. Litigation under a reputed Senior Counsel (for 3-4 years), then independent practice
3. LLM/DPhil, as a gateway to academia
4. MBA - LLB-MBA combo is uniquely valuable (eg Mitt Romney JD/MBA)
5. UPSC
6. MPP/policy work
7. MBB consulting/IB
The above options are all excellent for high calibre graduates from the top NLUs.
Lawsikho wont be stupid enough to fake something like this
Because it's literally intellectual eugenics. Makes the reserved ones dumber and dumber with each generation while improving the Savarna IQ through the roof by forcing them to be best of the best.
1. If you are competent
2. You take your work seriously
3. You don't mind failing, getting rebuked, can move on
4. can switch if you have a bad boss
5. You find a good mentor
6. You don't mind working hard
7. You are diligent
None of the work is rocket sciecne
Don't be hungry for recognition in early years, its not for you. Just make your boss successful. If this is ok with you, law firm is just fine.
don't let people discourage you if you want to work at a law firm
plus you can start your own law firm with some years of experience. Lots of clients with growing market and economy. Never have been a better time to be a lawyer.
For most law students, this is a fair and square way to get a good internship - what is your problem with this?
100 rs registration fee x 1000 people - hardly 1 lakh rupees, what difference will it make to a listed company with close to 100 cr revenue?
If top law firms were happy to participate, please explain why you have such a grave problem with this
There are people who do their full time PhD being non-residential, however that is illegal and may land you in trouble if someone complains. I know someone who's fighting a legal battle in High Court over this same issue of being a full timer and yet having a job.
Instead take a leave of one semester. Complete the compulsory coursework and then speak with you advisor and leave for the job. Whatever you do, keep your advisor in the loop. Some, don't care and will let you treat a full time PhD like a part time, while some will tell you to report to them a few days a week or month.
In the end it's possible to complete a PhD in 3 years easily. Especially since law does not require labs and experiments. It's mostly doctrinal, unless you've included surveys and stuff.
Just keep at it and things will eventually fall in place!
Good luck!

stating truth and calling for removal of incompetent leaders brings 19 downvotes lol
for eg- I know many places( railway station, near by shops) where these people sell the products above the mrp. So is it possible that let say 20 people go and buy these product above the mrp cost while maintaining all the evidence and later file the case individually. The court usually give 5K to 10K as compensation and these cases are not hard to prove as precedent is already there. So if one intentionally do this thing one can easily get compensation of above 1lakh.
You just show that you don't have proper education. No person is going to vote for a party that is have incompetent leaders and with the same they are calling for freebies more than BJP and asking reservation in private.
If people cry jitni aabadi utna haq then india should be made hindu rashtra by that logic but all intellectuals will go silent.
Left is really out of touch with ground realities and is inside its echo chamber
Another senior who is independent and is 8 years into practice probably makes around 200k. Another independent one is almost a decade into practice and is roughly around 600-700k. Again same similar background.
Give these people a few years more and they are going to earn more than those corp partners. Not to mention WLB is really good. They are a few stressful days but overall it's nice.
But all of them really had tough initial years. I have personally observed two of them so can really feel it.
5 years into NLUO and you can't type a paragraph without any grammatical error. Avoid writing on legallyindia to save the name of the college before pointing your fingers at local students*.
[I know you would hate this but this is the truth :)]
to mod: there is nothing “trollish” here. if you decide to mark every valid criticism as trolling, ▮▮▮
You harp so much on reservation why doesnt your stock talk about rohini commission report and sub classification.
I agree two consenting adults should marry irrespective of caste(not irrespective of religion, intercaste marriage is not same as inter religion marriage).
But this approach ki marry/date us otherwise you are casteist, is not casteist just preference. You are not owed marriage, infact no one is owed marriage.
Your lots keep crying especially for UC women ki marry us otherwise you are casteist, lol. It is to guilt trip uc men/women, women especially, has hidden notion of patriarchy ki you want to date/marry uc women to flex and get back. Its borderline rapist fetish, dont believe me go see dravidian twitter and see how they fetishize and sexualize skin of tamil brahmin women.
An individual has inherent right to marry within his/her caste, it is not casteism.
Its not anyone's fault ki you dont like people from your caste and dont wanna date them, many do and they will. you can cry a river about it.
From there, it is supposed to go to the GSTAT (GST Appellate Tribunal), after which the High Court and the Supreme Court.
But until GSTAT is fully functional, there's technically no viable appeals process. The practice is to challenge rulings or orders of Commissioner - Appeals before the High Court by way of a Writ Petition.
List of NLUs with this regionalism problem - NUJS, NLUO, NUALS, DSNLU, TNNLU and NLUJA.
Add or remove if you like.
PS: Also, suggest what one should choose between the three when it comes to masters: international arbitration, White collar crime or cyber law
Do you mean I will crack it and wont get the internship? Is LawSikho faking the internships with CAM, Luthra, Kco etc?
I hope such sassiness and "go and read/learn advice" will come in handy when Private sector will be forced to show their SC,ST, OBCs in their leadership positions and total employee count by caste. Hope they will read/learn too and allow you to speak/give advice.
Do read this - this is 2023 article. https://www.newindianexpress.com/states/telangana/2023/Aug/27/congress-promises-scst-reservation-in-private-sector-rs-12-l-aid-2609140.html
go start a business, nobody will stop you
you won't because you are a loser, instead will keep asking for reservation is private sector hoping that will give you nirvana :D
In fact it is very much believable. Dude has slogged for "4 years" to reach at the level of what an A1 at a T1 would earn in their second year. Also an A1 would at best be earning not more than 20-21L.
CAM : 6 ppos
KCO: 8 and 2 are scheduled
Saraf: 5 PPos and 2 in pipeline
Trilegal: 2 ppos
S&R: 1 (they came back finally)
Luthra: 2
The 5th year RPC would want to deny this rn but we have reached 24 and 4 more to go. NLS doesn't have jobs or ice packs for that matter
But here are the real figures
CAM- 7
AZB-3
Trilegal- 3
Saraf - 2
Lined up- 5 CAM 3Saraf
CAM- 2 ▮▮▮ ▮▮▮
Kco- 1 ▮▮▮

We write this to the moderators here on an urgent basis. We would like to point that PPOs, job offers, vac schemes , training contracts and other associated details with it are sensitive and confidential in nature.
We do understand that this information is common knowledge amongst the batch however, in the larger interest of the candidate receiving this offer and the batch in general. Please refrain from revealing details.
The CRC traditionally reveals numbers and figures post Day Z and we will do that however, in the meantime kindly do not reveal confidential and personal information both for the sake of candidates and the batch at large.
Further, we cannot or will not be able to trace whoever decides platforms like Legally India are ok for such information. But they are not.
Revealing names and forms of people who have received their PPO is totally and utterly unacceptable and unwarranted. It does not benefit any of us and may have serious future impacts.
We are presenting this as a request. However, note if we come to know of any person engaging in revealing confidential information publicly. We will take the maximum possible action available to us to hold that person accountable.
Wishing that the batch notes their interest and those of their friends .
