I'll tell you something in short-- I believe that all interactions done by human beings are transactional. Including the ones that we do out of concern and sympathy, as acting this way makes us feel good about ourselves. It is probably an evolutionary trait that has been exacerbated by natural selection.
Sometimes I have though of therapy. Maybe I am wrong, or maybe the way I perceive the world is indeed right.
So the extreme disparity plays a role in this excessively highly 13cr average.
People working in the dispute space - which firm/partner/independent practitioner is a good place/boss to work with. Possible criterion can be - (a) kind of matters, (b) team dynamic and overall work culture, and (c) salary/ increments/ promotions.
Assuming you have a pre existing degree, that wonโt be necessary.
Just learn the law by doing a 3 year LLB degree.
Also, I have seen someone who joined as an associate 0 level at age 32 or so. So you arenโt too behind :)
All the best!
So, I was like let's get this degree and then I'll see what I can do with this degree.
And people with ADHD thrive when push comes to shive. Initially I used to study before my exams. But in my fourth year I started studying a month before.
Went through my university's past year papers.
Made a compendium of repeated and important questions. Compiled answers for all of them. Started studying and by the time my exams started I was done with 80% of my prep.
Repeated the same cycle and by the time I was in my 5th year, I was only left with 2 backs.
Regarding the T1 job, I was lucky because somehow through contacts, I was able to land two assesment internship. Since, I was from a private college, I knew I had to work harder than others.
I prepared well before the internship. I talked to associates who already work in T1 and friends who had interned with firms. Brushed up my research skills, learnt how to submit deliverables like an associate (like the format and stuff).
Basically I did everything, a associate was expected to do. Landed offers from both of them.
Honestly, it was an experience and I thrive in such situations so by god's grace everything worked in my favour

A lot more of inflated egos and lifestyles in the law firm circles.
As for B Schools abroad, the quant requirements are lower, especially if you are from a non-tech background. They are saturated with Indian BTech background and want diversity.

By dirty, I mean some candidates and their supporters smearing other candidates with filthy gossip and outright lies. An entire social media group was created with such mudslinging.
Do you see this in NLUs? Or is JGLS just especially f--ked up?
1. MBA
2. Taxation lawyer
3. Litigation.
These are the only places where age wouldn't be detrimental. Ageism exists in India . Alot
It does not mean there is a problem
Average attrition in every big law firm is about 50% per year
Areas of practice:
General Corp
M&A
Corporate Restructuring
Competition Law
Dispute Resolution
Thank You!!
Good luck!
Should I try for a PPO there or take an offer in Day 0 from college?
The Government will always need blinkered, narrow minded babus.
BUT, If you have some idea about what kind of law you like, and want to go in litigation, join chambers who work in those law areas only so that you do not get discouraged early on and ask for decent salary head on.
And Israel is a rare exception which manages to OWN hold the fat hog America into being a submissive livestock for it. White nationalist incels constantly seethe about this fact
Azim Premji University also had a well designed LLM program. Unfortunately, they have stopped it now that most of the faculties have been poached by "you know who".
He goes to office like twice a week and only when the team comes to office. So attendance tum kya jhaadu lagane ke liye dete ho ?
Also there are disparity in marks among the sections. Around 70% BA2 students of 2027 batch failed in Law and literature subject but others section (BBA and BA1) got 7 pointers in their paper.
Whatโs the policy in your college for the disparity in marking?
Also, if there is some authority in your college that is technically responsible for organising placements or somewhere close to it, talk to them ask them to submit a request to EY to visit your college for recruitement. I believe they actually do this and they prefer to actually go thru colleges.
You are being made counsel and you think you will find the answers on an online forum with anon users? Konse year me ho beta?
Often the e mail doesn't work unless you have a good reference
The banks determine the credit limit based on their internal algorithms; banks like SBI, which has a good portfolio of cards, can be a bit stingy with their limits.
Some good banks for cards are: HDFC, AXIS and SBI.
- HDFC Tata Neu Infinity Credit Card.
- Airtel Axis Credit Card (Now Devalued by Axis)
- SBI CashBack Card
Useless Card:
- OneCard Metal (Only good feature is metal and 0% Forex Charge)
(To the 'nobody cares about your LLM degree' folks, it was a conscious decision.)
I'm interested in Corporate and Investment law. If you're a senior and can spare a few mins to review my CV, please let me know. It would be really helpful!
My guy shifted goalposts and still did an own-goal. As I said, go take your agenda elsewhere.
