First, my parents did have the money but I wouldnโ€™t have felt good using it. Honestly, I wouldโ€™ve preferred JGLS through the normal route than NUJS via NRI quota. But to each his/her own.
Read carefully, I said โ€œmostโ€ and it is indeed very stupid to pay โ‚น50L for a T2 NLU just to stay at home. Hardly anyone who makes it till even NLIU would choose NUJS NRI quota. Maybe one or two exceptions exist who have money to burn.
What's your PQE? Want to gauge how long it reasonably takes to get Amex Gold/MRCC/Platinum after starting as an A0 at a T1.
I think the way to go is, you donโ€™t moderate a comment unless flagged by a user. Why does LI get to be the first judge on whether something is inappropriate is the basic question.
If existing CAM high performers at these levels are not being compensated fairly , then this promotion should be leveraged by the promotees asap to jump ship and correct their compensation to market levels - free HR advise
Even in BLR they operate in a We- Work space but it's much better than Pune
Voting age should be raised to 21. Let that boiling teen blood settle a little.

Then Nation wide IQ tests should be conducted and its results should be taken in account before issuing Voter IDs. Only people above 100IQ should be allowed to vote
Same yardstick should apply to the people who stand in the elections and body of people from which political parties can appoint a leader.
Shieeet. Looking at their merit list even me as a General category male could have gotten it with my abysmal rank.
As someone who actually has a PhD, let me tell you that it does not take 5 years t to complete a PhD in law. Look at the website or to NLUs, hardly any professors spend more than 3 years doing a PhD.
oh look a self-entitled prick who thinks education is only provided in NLUs. Lately your glorified institutes have proven to be backfiring for students lacking basic humbleness and English speaking skills along with the "holier than thou" attitude.
Folks, where would you recommend applying for an internship in the insolvency field?
Also, which firm has the best insolvency ppractice?
Folks, how do you secure an internship at S&R (any office)? From what I have observed amongst my peers, they go for batch rankers. Like the single-digit ones.

Or, is there any other metric?

[~T1 non-NLU]
More specific query - Have the scheduled for those who did their callback during the month of Jan or Feb 2024?
I think you guys should shift to reddit. Way better UI and way better moderation. What they do on LI is not moderation but censorship.
Yes. Elections in most colleges are now just culture wars between the left and right. Issues related to the university take a backseat.
Double engine Sarkar will ensure that this NLU has a bright future. Itโ€™s unfair to judge now. Wait till 2040 at least.
So I too can make a counter argument about IAS officers who enter through caste reservation? Surely you canโ€™t say one quota is good and the other is bad?
What do you mean by MNLU - N?? Visit it once, it's very developed now. People are getting PPOs in Tier 1, Infrastructure is so so developed, even they have AC Hostels.

Don't even dare to say NLU-N as "only website".
No one is going to be impressed by an IIM Rohtak degree, even their MBA is worthless, so law will be an even bigger joke.
I've received an offer for an assessment internship at Jupiter and I'm eager to learn more about the company and its culture. Are there any former interns who would be willing to share their insights? Any information, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.
Which admin stooge has downvoted this? It's the absolute truth. Jindal people confirmed it.
Also are there is any seniors ?? I last remember to witnessed was an A2 associate is doing the SA's job because their SA absconded.
I assume it is trained on some fixed set of legal documents, past case law etc and answers those questions well - but is unable to answer questions on new rulings and judgements or newly updated documents coming from clients? Kco peeps - is my assumption correct?
Sure their way of showing team spirit is by pushing each other under the bus..!

To be honest if your personal views don't match your senior's opinion (including the partner) then you are a bad professional and they will find all possible ways to screw with you.
Aspirants webseries bhi dekh li hai

Wo bhi mention kar de na

Extra points milenge.
Don't worry, I can assure you that some of your peers who are taking up 6 months of internship might end up converting it. You never know, so just focus on yourself first.
Have seen the team closely. Good people, good work. If you put in the effort needed from an intern, you'll do well and maybe then push for an assessment. The team is top heavy.
There should be at least one NLU in all states and UTs. Big states should have multiple (like UP and Maharashtra).
If NRI quota students pay 50 - 60 L for the degree that the rest pay 15 - 25 L for, then the rest need to be thankful for it. Without the NRI quota students, the rest will pay 35 - 40 L. The NRI students subsidize the non-NRI folks. They need to be respected.
And you are the "authority" to evaluate law faculty and certify them??? We would be honored to take your word.
People like you are essential for the continued preservation of some sense of order and sanity in this country, i.e., BJP remaining in power. Please continue your contribution to Mother India!
The mods never stop people speaking good of others. That fact that you're using such laughable excuses now to skip citing those publications reveals more about the place than any of your PR pieces.
Not entirely. The IIM brand is already helping the students there secure internships in companies and tier one firms.
Instead of these stats, why don't you showcase the publication records and credentials of the law faculty of your precious NFSU?
If you had not skipped those economics classes, then you would have realised that the sensex isn't the sole determinant for the economy of a country.
i am law graduate from a college not well known with decent internships on my CV working in an LPO as a remote employee making 35k per month and planning to join a law firm for 25k pm for in office role in a small newly established law firm but the money is killing me.
The team as a whole has moved with him to PwC. So recruitment wise, its not that the place has shut. They are just doing business under the umbrella of PwC now.
When you donโ€™t have clients its better to go work in a bigger shop which has clients
CAM teams are going on retreat to sri lanka, but theyโ€™ve left all A0s behind to handle the work! Whatta lovely firm
I do know but not because of your unreasoned analogy. Itโ€™s a verifiable fact that all these places have garbage LLM programs. Only NLS and NLUD might have decent LLM programs and theyโ€™re also pretty bad too.
Hi everyone! I'm graduating this year and still have no offers in hand. Does anyone know if there are still any firms hiring from BO'24 for disputes?
Read the comment carefully, with other threads also. You shall get a fair idea.
If you could tell us the firm name or the tier and which team.

Also, how you landed the interview off-campus.

Thank you in advance.
If Chintu is one of the best professors, how can you NOT mention Ritu Sharma, Prem Chand, Iqbal and Anupama ?!
Have worked with Madhur (Mumbai) and Pratyush (Kolkata) in DT while briefing their seniors. Both are quite good.
Why are gnlus 15 ppos upvoted but nls's 18 downvoted ๐Ÿค”
If the concern of OP is that Gen Z teens are too woke, letโ€™s remember that the vast majority of voters are above 21. Also, the same woke teens of today will become the RW boomer uncles of tomorrow, once they join the corporate world and become taxpayers.
It would be interesting to compare the career paths of NRI quota grads vs SC/ST/OBC quota grads. Why do I get the feeling that the former will have done much better?
I would advise you to do an MBA, because law is a restricted field with limited opportunities and lots of corruption and nepotism.
KCO Mumbai still has a hybrid policy of 3 days WFO and 2 days WFH. However this is because they don't have enough space to accommodate everyone if 5-day WFO is made compulsory. Once they get the 14th floor operational they may shift to full WFO.
That's a foolish suggestion. IIM Rohtak in law is same as Nalsar in management.
Are you dreams comprised of central universities too? Because they probably appear better there than they actually are in reality. All Central universities currently offering law in India are at best T2 or T3 institutions.
After 5 years

30 day zeros 20 PPOs and 3 vacation schemes at NLS.

For a batch of 600 students ๐Ÿ˜Š
They contacted me saying that you're looking to hire freshers. Doesn't make sense to shut down in a month or two.
A PA at a T1 commented on a different thread about owning one. So it's definitely possible for Partners ig
Terrible work culture, zero appreciation or sympathy, and peanuts for payment.

If avoidable, don't join. If not, leave in a year tops.
Good team. Team is involved in transactional support, IP agreements, data privacy, advertising law, legal metrology and medical devices and pharmaceutical advisory. Quite a range there.
Guys whats the scene in Luthra? Can I apply for Projects team there?
I am burdened with student loan worth of 10 L . I was under an impression that I will get a good job after college and will be able to pay it off. But I can't secure even a decent job. My parents won't be able to help me much. I think I have ruined my life.
Yeah and the amount of strength required to go through latter will need to be immense, which I don't have after having fought as hard as I have, but also have no other options currently, so might have to stay put and deal with gossip and chatter about me.
Then name some better universities for masters & PhD in India. Don't say IITs.
Which of the factual parts are you contesting? Do you know any NFSU faculty who has contributed anything meaningful in the field of law, any scholarship whatsoever or produced any student with achievements who would vouch for them being good in teaching?
Do offshire firms like Walkers, Ogier, Carey Olsen, Appleby hire Indian lawyers with experience? How's the culture and pay there? How open are they to taking in Indians? Talking specifically for BnF.
"Shouldn't be an issue" - Yet it has been an issue so far, since the place doesn't have any decent teacher of law.
Apply for IIM Rohtakโ€™s IPL. Itโ€™s not really a good course but then you will get the IIM tag.
No, most of them wouldโ€™ve had ranks from the 600s to 900s and early 1000s in CLAT. Not bad ranks by any means but hardly any other wouldโ€™ve gotten into other tier-1.5 NLUs like NLUJ or GNLU.
Not hiring - I was rejected last week. A1 pay is ~1.50 post tax with 3L bonus.
Why does this analysis have a Bimaru vs non-Bimaru demarcation? Also, I guess there most be some word available then to use bimaru to refer to underdeveloped states
whats the use when you won't be respected anyway and are treated like a slave, "dear" HR?
If the AI is designed to give proper case summaries, why will the firm retain you?
But there are like 50 law firms in India barely working, and companies with CEOs in the millions, what's your point
Many people from my Tier 69 NLU didn't have jobs at the end of their course. Worse, the economic recession was truly hitting Indian economy. They took up internships for 6 months at law firms, some for even more. Now most of them are actually fine.
