GDP is a flow measure for the total value of goods and services produced within a country over a specific period—how much the economy is producing within that time frame.
Wealth (or net worth) is a stock measure, which represents the total value of assets owned by individuals or entities at a specific point in time.
Even if the wealth of the top 1% were removed, this wouldn’t automatically decrease GDP, because the wealth itself is not being actively spent or generated in the economy on a day-to-day basis—it's an accumulation of past resources.
The wealthiest Indians may have significant assets, but these assets don't directly equate to the economic output measured by GDP. You are drawing an equal betweem wealth and economic output, which is fundamentally incorrect. India's GDP would still stand at 3.5 trillion dollars even if Adani were to personally go bankrupt (Adani himself, not his group of companies since they have a contribution to the GDP).
For the love of God, please read up more on economic and financial concepts. You all are/going to be corp lawyers lol.
- MINIMUM 15 crore in 2025 (double if married and with child)
- MINIMUM 20 crore in 2030 (double if married and with child)
- MINIMUM 25 crore in 2040 (double if married and with child)
Possible to have this much saved?
The demand feels like a blatant exploitation of a fresher's vulnerable position. This experience, combined with previous unprofessional behaviors like ghosting and inappropriate communication, has left me seriously questioning my career path in law.
I'm genuinely considering leaving the legal field if such exploitative tactics are normalized.

However all is not lost, I would do the following if i was in your position:
1. Get at least one good banking related article/blog in a reputable place like India corplaw/cbcl.
2. Start connecting to b&f partners and associates on LinkedIn to see what sort of work they are doing, who is in which team etc.
3. Try targeting Tier 2 firms first so you can learn the ropes of b&f. Phoenix, juris corp, Wadia Ghandy, Indus are good places to learn.
4. Leverage those to get to and impress bigger b&f teams that hire A0s. Manisha Shroff (Khaitan), Leena Chacko (CAM), Abir Dey (Saraf), Anand Shah (AZB) etc.
5. Don't waste your time with JSA, TTA, SAM, Trilegal as they won't hire 99% of the time.
6. If everything fails, try to intern at Tier 2 places in your last semester. Phoenix, Wadia Ghandy, KLaw, SNG, Juris Corp, Samvad, Dentons are good options and hire A0s regularly.
7. You'll be able to move to a T1 within 1-2 years easily after that so do not despair. Remember it's a marathon not a sprint.
All the best!

If you just want a job - then start with tier 3 firm - not college.
High? Hell yeah!
I don't think so you practice, anyone claiming CLC didn't give great lawyers and jurists can either be a laymen or some law firmite.
What are the key qualities or skills they prioritize when selecting candidates, especially freshers? Do they weigh internships with top firms or specific types of academic achievements more heavily, or do they look for other factors like leadership experience, extracurricular activities, or even the candidate's ability to network and build client relationships?
Also, is there a preference for candidates from certain law schools, or is their approach more holistic and inclusive compared to other Tier 1 firms? For those who’ve been through their recruitment process or know someone who has, any insights into how SAM Mumbai distinguishes itself in terms of what they value in a hire would be super helpful!
Do things like alumni networks, internships, or brand value of NLUs make that much of a difference? Or is it just a bias that has developed over time in the legal industry? Would love to hear your thoughts, especially if you’ve experienced or observed this difference firsthand.
Secondly, you're forgetting K&E happens to lack WLB but tops firms list. No one likes excess work, despite whatever may be your beliefs.
And lastly, since you like all the boundaries etc, why do you get worked up when the shoe is on other foot, say the food delivery is late (since the delivery person chose to drive safe and slow, instead of getting all antsy about delivering you your parcel immediately) or thousand other such cases. Why you start ranting in any forum you can find in such cases? Look in mirror my friend.
Are TMT ppl poorer than gen corp/ m&a peeps ?

Second reason for mca people getting good rank in freshers pool could be that because mca is cell with lot of work related to reviewing and conducting regular open challenge inside college but it is always short with no. Of people so people from 1st year get ample amount of time to learn from being either court cleark. And other than that when who are in close community with the best mooters of college then it really helps.
Guys don't Panic you are new I can say Nliu is pretty fair in these aspects.

Any basis to this or wishful thinking? Is the US Deep State out to depose Modi and using Adani as a whipping boy, or is the BJP overreacting?

And fyi, these seniors are really pissed with the results. Ask around. It won’t take much time.
I am a final-year law student looking for opportunities in Real Estate Law. I would appreciate your support in providing me with a list of firms that offer assessment internships in this field or the names of firms for the said area.
For me, the most shocking stat is this -- the per capita GSP drops from the current USD 2400 (around Bangladesh level) to USD 1,900 (around sub-Saharan African level) if you hit the top 1%. And I guess if you exclude the top 5% we will probably rank close to last in the world???!!! So I blame Nirmala Sitharaman for the recent drop. Her taxes on short-term capital gains and refusal to give IT slab relief have reduced consumption by the top 1 to 5%, who are the engine of the economy.
It appears that an actual "equity" partner is inly a member of the family and the rest of them are only partners nominally and not a part of the partnership agreement. Is that an accurate characterisation? Are they merely employees? Is there a difference between equity partners and the rest?
Also, how do "employees" (i.e., associates, for instance) pay Income Tax? Do they pay tax as professionals and do they have to do the whole advance tax rigmarole? So are they not then employees per se? Will non-legal roles like HR in a law firm be on a different pedestal where they will be employees instead?
Do Corp law firm associates thrn file tax in exactly the same way that an advocate would? Would they get PF?
They judge you on the basis of college name and provide position for associate or consultant.
Rest of 90 cr. In market would generate 90 lakh per month forever.
Do understand finance
Please advise. Need to choose between gen corp or TMT practice.
And hence (absence of) room cleaning, physiotherapy and buses to airport are the top revolutionary ideas that's agitating NLS?
Yaha to Duggal saab bole wo hi law hota hai.
You are setting the bar very very low for Mo.

If you have no better offers however it’s an option you can consider because Wadia does help you learn but if you have the option to avoid and aim for better pay scales or if you can get into Wadia B&F as their B&F pay is much higher than other teams at senior stages and is a prime ground for picking candidates for B&F teams at at T1’s.
1. employability prospects (how does it work- ppo/call-back etc.)
2. Pay
3. Nature of work
Let’s be real: This case is the legal equivalent of trying to trademark the moon because you looked at it first. Here’s why IndiGo’s lawyers should’ve hit the brakes before filing this circus act:
1. Planes ≠ Cars: IndiGo flies people through the air. Mahindra makes electric vehicles. These are not remotely similar industries. No one is going to look at a Mahindra BE 6e and think, “Oh, is this what they’re replacing the Airbus with?”
2. Trademark ≠ Dictatorship: Yes, IndiGo has “6E” as a registered trademark for aviation. But trademarks are meant to prevent confusion in the same market—not grant companies a god complex over letters and numbers. The law doesn’t let you throw a tantrum every time someone dares to use the same characters.
3. Zero Confusion: Mahindra’s “BE 6e” is part of their “Born Electric” EV series. IndiGo’s “6E” is a flight call sign. The only way someone could mix them up is if they tried to board a Mahindra at the airport.
4. This Is Legal Overreach 101: If IndiGo wins this, where does it stop? Suing math teachers for putting “6” next to “E” in a textbook? Sending cease-and-desist letters to personalized license plates? Filing injunctions against people’s Wi-Fi passwords?
A Word of Caution to IndiGo’s Legal Eagles in Court:
This lawsuit doesn’t just defy logic—it makes you look ridiculous. By signing up to argue that “6E” is somehow sacred across all industries, you’re putting your professional credibility on a very public chopping block. Do you really want your career highlight to be the case where an airline tried to trademark two random characters in every context imaginable?
Every argument you make here is a double-edged sword, and it’s your credibility on the line. A trademark dispute is supposed to be grounded in substance, not in an overzealous corporate agenda. By asking the court to buy into this wild claim, you risk becoming the cautionary tale at every trademark seminar for years to come.
Do you really want your legacy to be “the lawyers who argued planes and cars are the same thing”? Because no matter the outcome, this case is already a punchline.
P.S.: If you’re this desperate for recognition, maybe sue Mahindra for their seating arrangement—it’s probably more spacious than indigo’s economy class.
GLC Bombay I can understand, but CLC, with thousands every year for 70 years can barely show even one great senior.
