We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.

1. We grew up in a once-in-a-generation crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, which, in turn, led to a second (ongoing) crisis in peoples' mental health? Why don't you do something about that?
2. We might just not want our lives constantly at the mersy of our clients and seniors? Might we just be better at boundaries. Look at how Legal Cheak in Britain rates law firms. Firms in the west which have your mentality end up paying for it. Kirkland & Ellis, for example, has one of the worst ratings of all in Work-Life Balance (WLB) category. Do you think we may, for various reasons, developed our own minds at an earlier age, and no longer want to work for organisations who are willing to have good values around social mobility, WLB etc?
Sam is extremely prompt. Got my job offer within w week
It was because of our efforts that the admin is poaching senior profs from top NLUs.
TikTok and wokeness has ruined this generation and addled their brains. Props to Australia for at least trying to protect Gen Alpha by banning social media for teens.
How are you just in 1st year at LSR when you are already 21 years old. 21yr olds are typically in their 3rd year in colleges.
Fishy smelly
Am in my earlier 30s, gay, closeted and single. Just choked on me being myself. Have been in academia for 6 years but shit runs professionaly and personally.
I have been keen in applying abroad so as to ensure i have avenues of settling there and find companionship. Have been unlucky with love. Is love overrated?
Any assistance for abroad applications and connecting with similar situation would help me survive.
In India, they dont even need a martial law to super-regulate people lmao
I just completed my internship with the B&F team at SAM and was disheartened to hear that I was not even given a callback. As I approach my final year, I would like some guidance from seniors on teams in B&F hiring freshers. Will strategise internships then.
Willing to pay for specialised advice. I have huge student loans and my parents are ailing. I have no-one in my life. Please help me.
Why are you even hiring or considering candidates who are like this? I can assure you, people like me and several others are wiling to pull all nighters even in unpaid internships, and you go ahead and shortlist the rankers. Have you ever thought about helping people with such qualities secure jobs in your team? Maybe you would have different outcomes.
Par hume to internship hi nhi milte, PPO chodo. Sirf top 15 rankers ko lete hai, god forbid you had a medical issue and lost out on 10 marks in an exam.
I hope, that rather than ranting nonsense like girls do about their red flag exes on Instagram, you could be more rational and look for skills you actually want in new candidates. And dont say only the partner has the whims, no, you do too, you can push for people, you just choose not to.
If you get NLS 2025-30 batch, you must join because even if you complete LSR 2024-27 and pursue 3 year LLB, you will get your law degree in 2030.
So if committed to law and getting NLSIU, go for it.
No LSR or Stephen will match NLS education.
It is the most "me me" generation. (Pun intended)
This lot grew up conditioned by the internet. It is starting to show in awful ways.
Not just here. Globally.

So yes, top class students deserve top class papers that separates the wheat from the chaff intelligently and with an underlying methodology. Mediocre / poor quality random papers ( which reflect the quality of the setters and the setter leadership), on the other hand, do nothing to separate Arabian horses from the Indian wild asses.
Whatโs the point of an ntellectual, scholarly VC of NLS if they canโt lead the pack. Where is the research that says what a CLAT paper should and shouldnโt have. Where is the research that evaluates quality of CLAT papers over the years. Where is the research that correlates student outcomes with what is being tested in the disastrous papers. Where is the research that evaluates if reduction in number of questions and increase in time allotted in these papers have led to better selection outcomes. Zero. Why is there no attempt from NLS to research these? On the contrary, itโs just getting worse. NLS 29 quality is there for all to see. When they hit the market in 2029, much institutional damage will have been done.
how regular do they hire?
I was in the same boat as you where I resigned from a T1 after barely 3 months of working. But to be fair I have 4 year work experience before that. However the burn was so bad, that I needed 2 years to recover from anxiety and burnout and was unemployed as total of 3 years. As on today, I am back in Mumbai and working at an MNC in their legal team at a decent designation. If you won't live, none of this would matter. Provided you have the financial backing and no loans to repay, please consider resigning. Take care
Would suggest to stay nearby i.e., Lower Parel, Dadar, Mahalaxmi.
Another factors that you should consider is that being a lawyer you'll have no work life balance, in whatever field you go ( source:Trilegal's recent podcast). But being a political consultant you'll probably have a decent balance. Atm what you should consider is what kind of life you wanna live.
Wish you luck ๐ค
I wanted to know on Trayosha's team in CAM and Trayosha herself.
how is the culture and is she decent to work with.
modi sealed the whole land of kashmir, f... fundamental rights of millions & blinded thousands to annul 370..
I dont think you mentioned the gender of the person, just keep the gift card generic.
1. Top: NALSAR.
2. Second: NUJS.
3. Final: GNLU.
