This wasnt performative at all.
NFSU gets ₹2254 crores in funding, gets ~50 acres of land in each of its campuses, and advertises to hire 270 permanent faculty (40 Professors, 80 Associate Professors, and 150+ Assistant Professors) in one go.
See the trend.
Here's the actual picture.
Clerkage is charged at the time of filing. The payment is made directly to the clerk. It includes everything from mere tying of the matter, to removal of objections. Getting pages typed, if illegible/ handwritten. Getting papers from the department- this includes HAVING to take 'care' of the department peons. Imagine if your stay is running out, matter is due to be listed, but suddenly your papers are not traceable. The clerkage will look like a small amount on closer inspection.
Matters are dismissed for non-removal. If some persons are finding it obnoxious to pay clerkage fees, just consider the restoration expenses. This is a whole fresh application for which your Advocate, whether the same person, or a new one, will charge you afresh. Also yes, again pay clerkage. No clerk is going to work for free.
A good number of filing clerks themselves work WITH (important word, 'with', not FOR) numerous Advocates.
Clerkage fees are NOT junior's fees. These are charges paid to a separate individual who is needed to do almost everything possible to ensure your matter reaches the court, for listing, at least.
Apparently the GIFT city gives an advantage to GNLU and it is bound to grow in coming years for sure
NLUJ on the other hand it's own perks (moots and other competitions along with single rooms are definitely a perk apart from the huge campus) but have heard it is just too hectic and in past some years have not been so good and idk where the new VC is going to take it , but the it definitely has another slight difference being in Jodhpur as Kolkata and Gandhinagar are huge cities and the mess system is also costly
Regarding NUJS (considering it is in top 3) a good alumni base but not so sure about other things but have heard the hostels are going to be a headache especially for girls
so can you people please offer some guidance , I have a decent rank that can ensure me admission into any of them so I have to keep the NLU on 3 in my preference which I want
Connect with the right people.
Reach out to the right people.
CAM and SAM both need top 10 kids.
Maybe fix your CGPA is possible. Or else, try your luck at SAM. CAM for sure won’t hire (have heard this from the HR, seen kids getting rejected to).
Tranfer to SLSP- check if that's possible. Although I don't think it is
If you can afford to, I'd suggest NLUJ through NRI. I am not sure about the fees, it's probably about 35L, but is definitely cheaper than NUJS and GNLU NRI. It does make sense to go there, since your chances of getting placed are higher. You already are in a law school and know a bit of law, so you'd start to get decent grades from the beginning, where most students mess up. Your rank stays good, you get placed, you earn well. The chances of these happening in NLUJ are much higher than any of the other options.
NLUO is still fine. But Shimla, Prayagraj and all are an absolute no. Waste of both your time and money. Better to stay at SLSN and word hard and intern continuously than to go to one of these and waste a year of yours and end up where you already are
Think of your finances and make the choice. Again, if money isn't a big deal NUJS it'd be. And I don't see the confusion about Jindal. If you can afford to pay that much, should NUJS NRI be an obvious choice?
Capital markets is here to stay, winter can come n go.
I have graduated from University more than half a decade back so I would advise taking my opinion with a more than a pinch of salt, as I can’t be specific as you’d like me to be.
In all honesty, placements should not be an issue in either of the Universities - unless you absolutely squander your days, failing subjects and not meeting attendance requirements or have just horrible bad luck. The former is in your control, the latter is not, but neither affect choosing between the two universities. Also, my pointers below are not in isolation, they are compared to other NLUs.
My experience comes from friends across law school, some work on University policies and suggestions which required me and some college mates to look at what was happening at other Unis, circa 2018-2019.
NALSAR is less of a pressure cooker compared to NLS due to the semester / trimester system (at least when I was at Uni). Admin is very good compared to other Universities but do not expect “world class” and generally, reasonable with students. The academic structure used to be exceptionally good, I’ve had some time at other “Global” and foreign universities, but the setup was very clear and student-friendly. It was significantly better during the Faizan-Dhanda time, but I’ve heard standards have taken a drop but a lot of the older staff are still there, and they are not rude with students unless you push their buttons. Faculty was good, but could be better - but compared to other NLUs, it is much better. Only perhaps NLUD and Jindal are better than NALSAR, which was also there during my time.
But what NLS really has going for it - and I always felt that was the case is that the alumni is simply uncatchable in terms of quality. NALSAR has some truly exceptional alumni, people who I look up to on a daily basis but compared to NLS, other Universities pale in comparison. But this only marginally more useful significantly deeper into your career, not at the start perhaps.
You should be happy in both Unis, and no need to be obsessed with placements. It’s not in your hands as much as you think. You can be rank 1 but the market might be horrible and you might have interned in the wrong places (unbeknownst to you). Nor you, nor I, nor the various managing partners of law firms can comment on what the market will be like 5 years down the line but both Universities will put you in a good starting position.
Make friends, go out, find a lover, learn some stuff in class and also on your own time, enjoy yourself, watch TV shows, read books, invest in your fitness, do some fun extra curricular activities without thinking what effect it will have in your CV. College is a great time and don’t waste it thinking about jobs before you even start! All the best for your future!
If one does their first t1 internship in feb are they already behind the curve?
Initial batches were excellent, then came:

People who destroyed this college are now Vice Chancellors. No surprise NLIU Bhopal lost all its respect. Its graduates are seen with suspicion of corruption. Tragedy and pity.
Could you please guide me on what to study for a job interview with a PE/VC team at a Tier 2 firm? I am currently in my final semester and don’t have much knowledge apart from the small PE/VC tasks I handled during my internships. I would greatly appreciate any advice or recommendations you can provide.
Can any students in NALSAR tell me how students from north India end up at the institution? Is there something I should know before I go to NALSAR?
On the other hand, Feku and Tax Tai are returning us to the crony socialist days of Nehru and Indira, so you need to maximise your return as much as possible…
Most corporates still don't pay in-house well, but you would be surprised how many ex Mckinsey/BCG folks you will see at big C positions and how much they are making.
In law as you become more senior the possible options you can switch to will always remain in single digits if not lower (You can switch from AZB to Trilegal to SAM, but may not go to CAM etc.), it gets even more tricky when you are partner etc. Pre SA it is very easy to switch Post SA it becomes very tricky.
An MBA is a lot more portable than law, and the ceiling is much higher than corp lawyers. While the power law operates and some partners will rake in a lot, but you can also do that if you join PE/IB .
I am very confused between them
To find ppl outside, there are many other apps like Blued, PR etc. Obviously dating pool these days is terrible no matter your sexuality. But sometimes it will click.
Second rule - outside college, don't hook up with any much older person, be careful as there are creeps who prey on college kids and will abuse you especially if you are not out. One of my friends (met after I came out) was raped during his college days by an older man from Grindr.

Best avoided unless you're really desperate for a T1. On the brighter side, if and when you shift from this team, noone will really ask why you're shifting - makes for an easier interview lol.
How is the Disputes work?
(2)There are attached washrooms in the girls hostel. In the boys hostel, there are only common washrooms.
>Try for T1 in vacancies.
>If need to choose T2, anyone of HNLU and NLUO both have pros and cons.
>RGNUL.
Can someone please suggest a good tech policy law firm or centre to intern at Bangalore? Would really help!! :)
Even a good professor works
P.S.: I am willing to take the Nri quota only if it'll fetch me a seat at NUJS, NLUJ or NLIU
1) Should I pick NLUs like Sonipat, Shimla, Silvassa, Odisha, Prayagraj, Goa at my General rank over SLS Noida?
2) If I take admission through NRI Sponsored in GNLU or NLUJ... if I work hard for 5 years can I get placement?
3) Or should I stay in Symbiosis and also last year I also got SLS Pune in first list do. have an option for transfer?
4) Any alternate options...
Thank you

1) I can get admission in NLUs like Odisha, Shimla, Sonepat, Prayagraj or Goa should I choose them over Symbiosis Noida through counselling or vacancies.
2) Take admission in GNLU or NLUJ through NRI Sponsored - the fees is hefty so if I work hard for 5 years can I get placed there?
3) Stay in symbiosis... last year I also had got Pune in first list is there any chance for transfer?
4) 3rd drop for CLAT?
Legal practice is very different from what law school is and are extremely unrelated.

Means Big Tech serves whoever is in power, and whoever is in power wants Big Tech to serve them. Now WaPo will fire their left-wing reporters and Meta will not censor RW speech.
Is this a usual thing?
Meanwhile Gen Z is right in not wanting to get married. Best to just ***k around and enjoy life.
Also how’s the work culture and the partners
I'd say, keep it as your last preference.
2. By creating this initial internships, it will be easier for you to get into tier 2 and eventually make it to tier 1 without contacts. solely on your CV, interpersonal skills, no ass licking, eagerness to work.
3. In your college request your professor to co-author a paper with you. Professor will also want to increase publication and you will do the hardwork. professor will guide you so that even "his/her" paper remains good. and your chances of publication on good portal increase. Don't write on UCC or common matters. Rather write on something you want to pursue your career in. Read these journals which publishes these papers, get idea. Use GPT to help you get topic ideas and research structure. Don't write your paper through GPT, editor may be able to smell it from a mile a far, even after humanizing it.
You got good publication - good internship.
4. Improve your English. Converse with your friends in english and if you are able to make such friends who prefer english to converse, that will be great as well. It will help in closing such interviews.
5. 2-3 inter-colleges moots are sufficient.
6. International moots will be cherry on top.
7. Be in good books with every one in your college. Share your notes and help each other. Don't let competitiveness or jealousy take over. In long run, your friends can at least push your CV if not the HR.
8. Once a senior told me that one should never judge their colleagues for their performances in academics. After college, toppers sometime remains jobless and backbencher takes tier 1 placement.
