3. Assume the best intention of others.

Well said OP. Surrounding this entire fiasco the original oversight that could've prevented all this has seemed to have been blurred. All the delays, all the uncertainty, all the court hearings, everything could've been avoided if they had just reviewed the question paper once. Especially the english question that OP mentioned, it seems almost comical as to why they would mark it as the right answer. It will all be well in the end, just focus on your boards and try not to thing too much of it (granted easier said than done) and everything will work itself out.
Here's to hoping the upcoming aspirants don't have to experience the same anymore 🥂
Banking and Finance is more broad since it has different niches within the entire gamut of practice; which allows you to get a flavour to many things and also be more flexible to inhouse opportunities after few years at law firms (tier 1 or otherwise).
Work life balance is fucked in both, capmarks even worse. Pay will be higher in capmarks though.
after that go to jindal or something bro
So go ahead and join. Two are decent law schools in the following order:
RGNUL
CNLU
HP is not worth 5 years in Shimla. Better join a DU college or NLS BA program
RS himself was not a great academic or researcher and he recruited so many mediocre and dubious faculty.
Mrinal, Aparna and Anup raised the bar and now if all of them left/leaving and with a VC known for nepotism and corrupt practices, NLUD is no better than MNLU Nagpur.
Let’s see, if only locational advantage of Delhi saves this place as a premier institute?
2. Do you live in the capital city? If so, what's the living cost and is it really true that it's summer throughout the year with pleasant temperatures and ways and means in various parts of the country (including the capital's red-light district) to accommodate all false beliefs that wouldn't have a leg to stand on in the real world?
Just asking because your behaviour and your statement indicates that you seem to be a naturalised citizen of The Land of Sweet Dreams, on a visit to your country of birth. Considering how fucked-up the world is, many of us would like to move to your adopted country, you know... so please answer fast, and mods don't waste time and sit on the answer for too many hours.
Let me address the elephant in the room being the animosity around this precarious situation. It’s just that I am new to this forum and I was introduced just recently by my juniors. I have received some applications, however due to the predicament I am facing with my busy schedule l, I reckon it would be best if future Applications are sent to the following mail being- adhityan004@gmail.com
This particular email belongs to a junior of mine, who will be coordinating with fellow applicants.
Now regarding the pay- it is affirmative that the job pays Rs 20,000 per month. I am in dire need of talented associates to help me with my cases.
I only have 2 criteria- Be punctual and work diligently. If you follow these aforementioned conditions, good work will be allotted to you.
I hope this solved all your questions and I am looking forward for your applications
Thank you
I'll be joining NUJS soon and as far as I know ,it does get vacation scheme offers....now I guess it's up to me to maintain a good academic record....and hopefully once in college I'll be able to learn more about how to optimise my CV to become more lucrative to these firms.
Thanks again.
I do not have money for it.
Plus I am pracitising in court. I cannot go back to studying.
But then I worked so hard for UGC exam.
I dont want to give an exam again.
They do not accept UGC scores as they are outside the purview of UGC.
You can either get JRF or PhD only. Not asst. Prof.
So no, it would not be redundant to remove LLM altogether.
Tier 1 NLUs and IITs have only amended their rules to align with UGC rules.
Rest are not aware of this rule I think
Also my JRF has a validity of 2 years. How long will I fight for this? My JRF will lapse, I need a speedy recovery.
Although I am going to do what you suggested
Consult World Economic Forum reports to identify future focus areas. There was an WEF report from February 2025 on the future of work and skills that is very informative. Industry 5.0 will generate vast opportunities, and while law will evolve, lawyers possess the foundational framework to adapt and contribute.
Broaden your perspective by interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds. This will foster open-mindedness, continuous learning, and reduce the anxiety that is driving you to address these concerns on this forum :)
Sapiens is a good book to read and reflect if you want to reflect on this theme. All the best!
I am a conventionally good looking person but for whatever reasons I have been on both sides of the spectrum. I was morbidly obese a few years ago and now sport a chiseled jawline. I have seen a drastic change in human behaviour ever since I lost weight! People treat me differently as opposed to how I was viewed and perceived when I was a blob of fat.
You can work on yourself. While good looks are mostly genetic, a good body is achievable. If I can do it, anyone can! Hit the gym, a crisp wardrobe, few accessories, good hygiene, sharp haircut etc and good posture - it won't be long before you leave the good looking folks behind ;)
I'm open to both Mumbai and Delhi, but I prefer Mumbai.

As in?
My advice: recognise this moment. Remember what was done to you and ask yourself whether you would like to do the same to someone else. There is no right or wrong answer to this. Just be honest with yourself. The answer you get will clarify the difference between what you can and what you must do going forward in your life.
Above all, do not try to “move on” for there is no such thing. Don’t ignore the moment. Do realise who you are and whether you can really be someone else.

Now to call someone “subversive” is to appreciate their intellectual eclecticism. There is nothing “subversive” about this forum. There are the occasional trolls, but nothing that would qualify as genuinely thought-provoking. This forum meets the standard of how rights are trivialised in the Indian discourse when citizens (including the so-called educated ones) are not interested in using them. One will find spirited debates here on class attendance policy but practically nothing on jurisprudence. See the illustrative example at << https://www.legallyindia.com/convos/topic/419875-sba-takes-bold-stand-calls-the-nlsiu-attendance-policy-draconian >>.
I believe in the absoluteness of free speech. Suffice it to say, the interpreters of Indian constitution could not disagree more with me. Having said that, there is little consolation in fighting to achieve a right when others are not inclined to exercise it. Even here, among men and women of considerable intelligence and experience, it is difficult, if not impossible, to have a decent discussion on something as basic as bail and Indian jurisprudence. See the illustrative example at << https://www.legallyindia.com/convos/topic/419471-indian-jurisprudence-and-bail >>.
It is one thing to talk about jobs and internships but it is another thing to utterly lack an intellectual perspective on aspects of your vocation.

Indian Defensive Industry, which seemed like a safe investment harbour is under threat, FDI investments and FIIs pulling out of the Indian Stock Market are reasons enough to see the what lies in store for us Indians. Liquidity of Banks has been hit. NBFCs are struggling. Real Estate and Infrastructure which were major themes until 2024 are no longer in the picture. Premiumisation of brands has been shoved back into the bin. So what remains?
Indian Government's focus is on Critical Minerals, Nuclear Energy, Protection of Traditional Medicines, Defence, Internal Security, Religious Tourism, Green Hydrogen, Biotech, Tribal Welfare from the recent themes.
What are some of the newer areas of business we could tap into?
What can we as Lawyers do differently?
Are there any such communities for Lawyers in Hyderabad for networking or group discussions?
Struggling to find like-minded individuals. Any help is appreciated.
Evidence: I have studied and lived there for a few years now, work there at this time, plan to continue working there, see a (reasonably) smooth path for that ambition, absolutely celebrate every day the thought that I made the right choices in life and am surrounded by kind, thoughtful and intellectually strong people, and would drink a cup of my own piss before returning to India for work unless forced to by circumstances.
Does that mean there aren't things about the UK that I think should be changed? Of course not! Lots of stuff needs doing differently here, but "barrelling into the abyss" is total nonsense.
