Which partner/ team is better? Would like to know about the pay, kind of matters undertaken. If anyone has any insights on the same, please let me know!
Enough threads on LI regarding team ATU at JSA banking. Please check those out. Most are genuine.
I would prefer TD, he is at least a gentleman and does not interfere unnecessarily in your work. Can be a bit sharp sometimes but most of the time a level headed person who is direct and to the point.
Canโ€™t agree more. Donโ€™t make the mistake of joining the non TD team at any cost. There are compelling reasons, which I cannot tell here. All I can say is avoid this team at any cost.
Stay away from the burn out culture promoted to only suit the top bosses and make their lives easier and richer. However, if you can sustain the long hours in office and unnecessary tight deadlines, then you can join the non TD teams, you will be promoted easily โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ
Promotion is super easy. You just need to sit in office all day and night and pretend you are dying with work.
Can tell about TDโ€™s team - heavy work load, less micro management, reasonable deadlines, friendly seniors, you can take charge of the transaction on your own, great learning. If you get to work under his team then go for it. Itโ€™s worth it! Avoid the other team.
Cโ€™mon guys donโ€™t be so brutal here. Its a tough profession to survive in.
Both are equally good partners with good amount of work. I am talking about work flow and types of transactions only. The associates here are as good as SAs and PAs at other T1s.

I cannot comment on the team since I do not have much idea.
City obviously posted by one of the partners. Yes, the associates and senior associates there are really good and they manage to hire good ones each time and that is why the attrition rate amongst them is so high. No need to comment further.
TD does not dictate what time you come into the office, the less said about others the better
In non TD teams you cannot leave before 8 pm even on a rare occasion, even when you have finished your deliverables after having worked the whole weekend or the whole night the previous day.
This perception has been created only by one particular SA who does this and expects others to follow suit
One particular PA (or a higher position, if she is promoted higher in 2 years) you mean?
Bro - you forgot to add โ€œrude, and insensitive seniorsโ€ under team U.
also add โ€œsnarky, exploitative and biasedโ€ under team U. Almost a dozen people working in or with, directly or indirectly, this team or the LEGENDS of this pathetic team leave the firm every in a year or so.
70% fixed of t1 fixed

But bill share is great in both teams (even if it comes at the cost of your sanity)
It is indeed commendable how TD has managed to maintain such low toxicity in a team that only values toxic style of leadership
Please donโ€™t spread misinformation. TDโ€™s team is better any day. Your comment is exposing you and your insecurities. Instead, introspect and work on your shortcomings - that will be beneficial in the long run.
The team values his professional leadership bereft of any toxicity. Your perspective seems to be a reflection of your default inner lens which emits negativity and and a toxic aura. At least, he has a stable TEAM where people chose to stay.
The recent exits at mid level would prove you completely wrong
Mid level exit in the team wasnโ€™t due to the functioning of the team but because of personal reasons.
Steer away. Excess work with extreme toxicity. You will lose your mental sanity here. If at all you want to join, opt for TDโ€™s team.
What are your priorities - to practice law or โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ

If the former, join TD, โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ

Compared with the other team TD camp is much better. The comparison is inter se. However, when compared with other firms and other BnF teams, the glow review may not hold good.
I think itโ€™s pretty clear now which team to avoid in case you still want to consider the ATU camp. Unless, after such clear feedback, the seniors at the โ€œteam to be avoidedโ€ have come out of their bubble, changed their attitude and made amends.
