BUMP is an acronym for "Bring Up My Post". A "bump" comment is a post or comment made on a social media or forum post to push it back to the top of a feed or discussion thread. It is a way to increase a post's visibility to more users without adding new content to it. Bumping is common in online groups and forums where posts can quickly get buried by newer ones.
Do your own research next time.
Rohan left, Vikram left, Tarun left, Naresh left, MP Devnath left, Jeetendra left
So is CA better or Law if I would have gotten into my state NLU i.e. CNLU.
So should there be a regret for not choosing CNLU or I would be happy to drop the idea of not getting into it.
I am 18 btw
As the partners at high posts cannot now spin it into an opportunity for appellate litigation, how do they break the news of adverse final decree to the client? Have you seen clients walk away? How is the blow softened (other than by blaming the counsel)?
It's the same story in the central paramilitary forces. And let's not even talk about the mistreatment meted out to Tibetans who volunteered for the SFF. Despite all the big talk, as a nation we are an ungrateful lot. That includes that chest thumping nationalist jingo brigade too.
From what I have gathered, this is what most of the Partners/SA end up thinking of interns. But honestly, if you are treating the interns as expendable resources that if deemed 'not worthy' within the first week... how am I, as an intern, supposed to improve? Please understand that I am coming from a perspective of a 4th year student who has done an internship ata few big firms. Unfortunately, I am unable to see any big improvement in the work I am presenting to my partners.
At best, my work is given a few words review of 'fine', 'good' or 'thanks'. Whenever I have actively asked for feedback I have recieved very minnimum feedback or with blatant but polite 'sorry i dont have time'. It might be a unique situation but at this point if i do not imrpove my work to the level of an A0 atleast, i do not see how i can secure a PPO.
The little improvement i have seen is by comparing my drafts with my senior co interns, or at times when i have been able to get my hands on the drafts made by the assosciates.
Which people in your hypothetical case would surely have.
Divya J has moved to New York. Mahir and Arihant are doing very well in their careers with their current employers and have made the most of the exposure they received at the chambers. Harshvardhan is thriving at Lumiere. Sabari has started his own practice though he isn't a specialist in tax. I am sure there are many others whom I may have missed.
Brilliant counsel but join at your own risk. Very difficult to work with. Extremely high, impenetrable standards. This is my personal view.
For decades, India’s top corporate families, including the Tatas and several other high-net-worth groups, have relied on Karanjawala as their preferred counsel for complex dispute-resolution strategy. Its stature in the litigation ecosystem firmly places it in the Tier-1 bracket.
That said, entry into Karanjawala whether as an intern or a full-time associate is extremely connection-driven. The firm traditionally recruits through strong recommendations, deep professional networks, and high-level references. Compensation is known to be attractive, but the firm maintains complete confidentiality regarding its pay structure; salaries are rarely discussed publicly.
Kinda considered an illuminati lawfirm, very secretive and doesn’t try to bring into public attention a lot.
Even the Tatas and many of India’s elites considers Karanjawala as their got to place for dispute resolution matters.
1. Once you're done with court, dust it. You get cheap clothes brushes on amazon, use those. You can even use a clean shoe brush for this;
2. Dry-clean at least once a year (twice, if you are able to);
3. If possible, hang it to air out at the end of each court day.
4. Stay clear of people who smoke and wave their cigarettes around.
Honestly, if your practice is going to be mostly in the Delhi High Court, then you needn't wear a gown for about half the year (typically between Holi and Dussehra/Diwali)
The whole basis of the protest was that both Muslim and Hindu Bangladeshis should be allowed to claim citizenship of India as refugees, not just Hindu Bangladeshis.
pls drop the tailor's name or address
This individual needs to do his LLB all over again
The NLUs, being state universities, have an even tougher situation to deal with - completely orphaned and abandoned by their respective state governments. On top of that, they cannot do anything outside the state. For instance, NLS cannot even host an international conference in Delhi, India's legal capital/hub.
is there any chance of ppl?
His Admin head is called Neeta maybe reach out to her?
One possible explanation for such writing that comes to mind is that the juniors of such lawyers come to occupy prominent positions in the Bar whenever such writing takes place. This likely necessitates the
First take into account school hours which pretty much every child has to go through, and moreover a few additional hours with a nanny before your parents come home will not wreck a child's psyche.
Second, your parents are not your personal servants, if having a househelp frees up their time to spend with their kid, how does it concern you? Moreover after a certain age if you cannot make yourself a basic meal, maybe consider that you have bigger issues to deal with
Third, bit of an overstatement to assume that they are too busy for their children you don't know individual circumstances or conditions
fourth, the workload eases up as they move up the ladder
RJ and NS are the key rainmakers for the tax team.
Ahmedabad litigation is headed by Hardik OG.
In Mumbai, litigation is handled by Gopal, Parth, Chirag, and Geenita.
In Delhi, litigation is handled by Udit, Kumar and Arihant. They have hired new faces at AP level also. So I don't see any impact.
Never heard stories of his office being toxic in any sense.
I could go on and state (just top of my head) at least 10 examples of partners who are well connected/ privileged and made it big at Tri.
Fine, admitted that it runs unlike a lala firm
But note that nothing is a true meritocracy. No law firm. It’s just not possible. Trilegal partners have sheltered and promoted promoted plenty of family members and kids who come with decent connections to get the firm more business. Having said that, they have also promoted some who come from nothing and have made it to the ranks based on just talent and luck.
But please get your facts checked before you make such bold claims.
Also, a) does she take 2nd years (4th sem students)?
b) does it help to be from a t1 NLU?
c) how is the work and environment at her office?
thank you!

I'd love to hear some names of Senior Counsel who practice in Bombay High Court and excel in Co-operative Housing Society Matters.
1. Assume there is a rich SC person going to a top school. They have impeccable English and most of their classmates do not know of their caste.
2. This same person has access to all the top coaching and study materials.
3. So, at lease as far as university admissions are concerned (especially those purely based on objective selection criteria like CLAT), these people face no discrimination.
4. Will they possibly face discrimination when they finally reach university/ look for marriage options? Yes, very possible. But how is a free ride to uni tiding over this or helping?
Every seat taken by a privileged or rich SC/ ST person is a seat that a poor SC/ ST person loses out on. Just think of that. Upholding reservation structures that are not nuanced further perpetuate discrimination by keeping reservation at top colleges in the hands of the "elite" SC/ STs (I know how oxymoronic, or moronic it sounds, but we are kidding ourselves if we genuinely believe that all SC/ STs are at the same pedestal regardless of their economic status).
Another solution can be different subquotas for different economic classes within SC/ STs.

But let's also address the elephant in the room: it's expensive to have kids. Then the government should also levy zero income tax on couples that have a child.
A1 is 15.4 + 3
A2 would be 17 + 4 = 21 around
However, the work culture is too fast paced; and men often get treated better than women with pay and promotions.
People on the SA and PA levels do not do much to help the first draft of projects so, the burden falls on the associates. This makes work supremely challenging and stressful.
While I enjoyed working here, the mismanagement can be handled better.
The attrition is certainly concerning.
It is possible that some acolytes may join NKC should things get hot for them here.
Legally, this totally violates human rights law. In the UK and Europe, you cannot forcibly deport people like this, or send them to detention camps. They have the right to apply for asylum and citizenship. Only Trump's America throws people out like this. So what can human rights lawyers do to intervene? Can they file a petition before the SC or approach the UN?
- Corruption and lack of transparency in governance
- Replacement of eminent legal luminaries and academics in the governing body with TMC politicians, second-rate lawyers and third-rate academics (in total contrast with the Menon/Chimni/MP Singh years)
- Lack of alumni involvement and consultation (in contrast with NLSIU, under Sudhir)
- Lack of good faculty (in contrast with NLSIU, under Sudhir)
- Appointment of a visiting professor (Khushal Vibhute) who was dismissed from Pune University for sexual misconduct (as reported by Times of India)
