Very unfortunate to happen, may the student rest in peace.
Work culture and pay for A0 in disputes and in transactions?
KCO and CAM got away? I thought KCO will be easiest given they're just one floor away.
I have been doing WCC lit since 2 years. I wanted to explore the investigations side as well. Long term if not litigation- what is a possible career path being specialised in WCC and investigations?
As a T1 A3, is it easier to get an in house job than a job in another T1?
Go to office first, do biometrics sign in and only then go to courts. Thus effectively increasing our commute for no reason since we anyway have matters listed in the morning
How did you do it, what practice area, was it through self application route or did you approach headhunters or do they approach you?
Surely they require you to stay in office till after 10 if there is work to be done on a super tight deadline? Not unnecessarily? I’m asking. Also would this be for a super high stakes litigation, cap mark matter or are you in a transaction team?
Basic, but how’s it going/ how has it been? What made you shift? And what’s your PQE?
In fact I am working as an inhouse counsel in Kolkata, and even if we engage Khaitan, we speak to Mumbai team and not the Kolkata one.
during festival lunches in the firm the partners and associates have separate designated eating areas
Without promotion could be anywhere between 10-30% depending on your last year's base, and industry standards.

With promotion could be anywhere between 20-40%.
They have a basement office in Delhi which houses a 4-5 member disputes team. All other teams operate out of the Mumbai Office. Hope this helps!
The tea is that if your billing is abysmally low for a few years, then you would be asked to leave by any decent firm.

Also he started his own office, not joined another firm as he had limited billing to show.
I request the Mods to take this comment down. It is highly misleading and unnecessary implicates a student who himself is a victim.
Please propose meaningful alternative(s) that both enhance research, while also prioritising social mobility to a huge extent.
Why don't you show us a piece of your own legal research, if you think it's so easy? Or at least show us verified proof that you obtained a pass grade at university, while studying law? You sound like an embittered mediocre-to-bad student to me.
Research in law schools HAHA. What rocket science is this legal research even? Random google search and basic analytical stuff right? Glorifying it like some great innovation lol.
Every Monday morning, I scrutinise the entry exit timings of all the fee earners siting in the entire building!
M&E will require you to move to Bombay (assuming you are in Delhi) and the work in M&E is majorly contracts there is no work of TM. I have done both and have left because it’s a very saturated practice area. Move to general corporate advisory I would say
Bump. Any tips for the PhD interview would be godsent. Thanks.
Bump!

With trilegal opening office in Chennai, what are the chances of them opening one more office in Pune?
By what % do most YoY salaries for associates increase without a promotion
Of course there is no comparison. Jindal and Amity are class apart. Jessup India rounds should better be done at a top law college like NLS, Nalsar or Jindal. Amity never deserved it
Its more, the total (incl Vac Schemes) is in the double digits.
hey, was it disputes by any chance? i really want to do it offline and i’ve been told that a simple mail requesting the team would suffice, is that real?
Why is it toxic and why is there no training or mentorship. What do you mean no accountability?
Hi, what do the growth prospects look like? Any chance they consider freshers for hiring?
NLS, NLU Delhi or even Jindal is much better. Atleast you have a chance based on merit.
Do you have a JRF, No ? Are you from MNLU Mumbai, No ? Are you from Mumbai, No ? Are you a Marathi, No ? Then sorry bud, you won't make it.
I got in because of a JRF. Majority of my batchmates are from the University itself. The only outsiders I know are either JRF holders or somehow people who are from Mumbai itself like GLC.
The only guarantee is if you've done your bachelors or masters from NLU Mumbai. They do not consider outsiders.
If you don't have a JRF, or a LLB/LLM from MNLU itself then do not bother to apply. They will not consider you at all. Save the time and energy for better universities.
Which is the best university for a LLM in international humanitarian law? I would love to work in icrc.
Rumours that Abir lal along with Aroop das and team leaving saraf? If any insider can confirm.
What are you talking about?
West Bengal is the best in terms of public office employment and PCS exmas, the fastest in entire nation!
Which are the firms that are hiring graduates in the Capital Markets Team for Batch 2027?
Uska registeration date khatam ho gaya bhai. Please suggest something else that we can still register either now or sometime this year
LLM kar le wala Guy is the best person to guide you in this regard.
Campus placement for freshers. Lateral hires from industry for redt
LLM is easy money for these unis. If you intend on making a career in law outside, you MUST pass the bar exam and network like hell. Most firms abroad have india focus desks.
SAM Chennai is the only victim, the resources from there are poached mostly.
Dhananjay V Joshi Associates, Keystone Partners, Pragathi Law Chambers, Sreevatsa Associates, CK Nandakumar, IndusCMS, ATV Legal
The fact that you are devoting mind and energy to this shows that he has won already. Take the high road. Such people do not deserve an ounce of mind space.

Trust me, I am going through the same thing.
I've seen a few advocates putting their CoP in a frame. How widespread is it?
Good person. Good boss. Culture, wlb, quality all are decent. There are ups and downs but that's similar to all disputes teams in law firms.
AMA: recently moved in house from T1. Ask me anything about the transition.
Ever since the RW VCs started being appointed, they let the ABVP goons have a free run of the campus. The results are there for everyone to see.
Insofar as judiciary is concerned, those who make it in other states are hardly any better. One shudders to read the orders and judgments that come out of courts these days.
Epstein himself planned to study at NLSIU but couldn’t clear clat and was not eligible for reservations.
If it's the same in every firm, why does only SRL have such massive attrition and no one with anything good to say about them (except themselves)?
Their website only shows data till 2023 in which they had 6 international placements. So how were PPO, Day Z and VAC schemes for 2024 and 2024 batch ?
What are your genuine thoughts about AQUILAW? They seem to be very active on LinkedIn with posts circulating every week but no big deal disclosures. Is it even a corporate firm or does it have litigation practice only.
Make him fall in love with you and then break his heart (irrespective of what gender both of you are)
Any feedback? Hows the work and team? Heard there’s a lot of attrition and temperament issues. Is it true? If yes, would you describe her team environment to be toxic and unprofessional?
why columbia and berkeley? those are not universities from whence come great corporate lawyers. Stanford and HLS would be a better bet. if youre not hoping for a scholarship, its actually not so hard to get into an llm.
low paying because you are in a band 2/ band 3 team, the band 1 teams are raking in the moolah. agree about high volume and tight timelines though
Nikunj Maheshwari at AZB

Veena S. at SAM

Anish Mashruwala at JSA

Joseph Jimmy at Trilegal

Rahul Chakraborti at Khaitan

Okram Singha at CAM

Avoid ▮▮▮ like the plague
If you don't know stuff and are privileged, how is it wrong for anyone to point those things out? And you're claiming that everyone in the office bullies you AND claim that you show attitude? Get your narrative straight.
He's married.
I require more creative ideas that are equally tormenting such as this.
Freedom of thought is recognised as a fundamental rights. No one can stop you from exercising your fundamental rights, you shouldn't think of stopping at thrashing, go on, go ahead. That's your right!🫶
Very strong rumours in the market that he has put in his papers and is moving to another firm with his team of 12 lawyers.
This sounds basic but it's genuinely helpful. Thanks a lot. Also the part about fine tuning is reassuring.
My office requires me to stay in till after ten, by way of an unwritten rule so that’s not even a plausible policy for the firm.
If anyone has any idea, is it a 2 or 3 panel interview? And any tips or recommendations for the same? What laws or sectors should I brush up on? This is regarding their campus recruitment for BO 26.
Has an NLSIU student been mentioned in the Epstein files? Or did NUJS take our place? Or was it NALSAR?
This description matches with a RP in my banking team. Scared I’ll end up to be her!
Can anyone tell me about how is Jasmine’s team at Wadia Ghandy? Any insight would be appreciated
You could just leave a voodoo doll on his desk and spook the guy, mess with his mind.
Depends on whether you're willing to be a common wife to a bunch of prisoners. You may end up in prison if you physically assault someone, and if that were to be the case, with your soft background, you'll make the perfect wife for the prisoners.
Lucio is NOT. There’s more time spent on correcting an AI draft, then it would take to use a precedent template and re work that basis new information.
What could be the fixed pay and variable for an A3 at CAM/ SAM Bangalore.
I can vouch on this. It is not that the team has any special safety net or accommodations for NDs - I can vouch as a ND. But how the team operates is really good for a person with ADHD. The team really lets you do independent thinking and creative problem solving.
Another exit on the cards for CMS IndusLaw..from the Disputes Practice.
