Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has hired Richa Roy as a partner in its Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) and policy practice in Mumbai.

L&L Partners, formerly known as Luthra & Luthra, has re-launched its website to now include a list of partners in each practice area, after it had for a long time maintained a fairly basic online presence (excepting its activity on Facebook, of course).

“Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro has purchased around 20% stake of V.G. Siddhartha and Coffee Day in Mindtree through block deal for about Rs 3,210 crore,” reported Mint, about the purchase that was formally announced last week.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has promoted 7 to its partnership (including one as a partner-equivalent director in competition).

After leaving partnership in Big Law in 2015, Deepak Joyce spent two-and-a-half years starting up a business in the construction space. One year ago, in April 2018, he returned to the legal fold and set up Joycelaw in Gurgaon as a sole practitioner, so far, focusing on advising start-up founders as well as some work for funds.

“Varun Beverages Ltd (VBL) on Monday said that its board has approved plans to acquire franchise rights from PepsiCo in the South and West regions,” reported Hindu Business Line about the business transfer.
