CAM, JSA, Trilegal advise on BigBasket $150m investment from Mirae, Alibaba, CDC

“SuperMarket Grocery Supplies Pvt. Ltd, which owns online grocer BigBasket, is raising $150 million (about Rs 1,040 crore) in a fresh round of funding led by South Korean firm Mirae Asset,” reported VCCircle, which also included Alibaba and CDC.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Supermarket Grocery Supplies Private Limited led by a team of partner Reeba Chacko.

J Sagar Associates advised Mirae Asset-Naver Asia Fund led by a team of partners Vikram Raghani and Manav Raheja; and associate Gaurav Matta. The competition law aspects of the transaction were advised by partners Amitabh Kumar and Vaibhav Choukse, senior associate Ela Bali and associate Zenia Cassinath.

Update 6 June 2019: Trilegal advised Alibaba led by a team including Mumbai partner Rohan Ghosh Roy, assisted by senior associate Vinit Patwari, and associates Divyajyot Verma, Pulkit Chaturvedi, Karn Shukla and Mohona Thakur.

I don't understand why CAM has such a problem giving PAs, SAs and associates recognition for their work in press releases. I'm sure Rebba didn't do the entire DD by herself. It's just petty and shallow as an organisation. Not to take away from the hours put in by the partners, but it's always a feel good factor to be recognised for the work being done.

Anyhow, congrats to everyone involved in the deal.
