We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

So basically there is no specific team you'll be allotted and you will get a range of tasks to work on?
I understand it must be frustrating. The office is at the far end of Nariman and you don't get any cabs after a certain timing..Man itna Kanjoosi with Food and travel??! Damn. That too its unpaid.
Also, Can you please elaborate more on the Contacts aspect? Required to Enter the firm or Required even after entering?
Is that true or old news?
NLUs are good for a corporate career. However NUALS is not an NLS, NALSAR or NUJS. There will be no guarantee of a absolute PPO or placement. Sure the tag will help, but it's going to be all your hardworking and networking more than the universities brand name. If it would have been the top 5-6 NLUs I would have told you to reconsider. But it's NUALS. Unless you want to experience college/hostel life outside Delhi.
I would still give the edge to DU. Especially since you're from Delhi, the hostel and accompanying expenses will not be a burden, due to non existent.
@Mod_plse don't censor it if any1 personate himself & spread wrong info than this comment like this deserves to be here
under federal law non citizens cannot be clerks. Most state courts will also not entertain an application from a non-citizen.
If you like studying then do consider teaching, if not law then look into clat prep. But rn it just feels like you need to sit down clear up your priorities first and then decide which field to go in.

MAK is the coolest one 😊
If you are looking for a "no" for some sort of comfort, sorry, i can't lie to you.
I have a tier 2 internship coming up and I am expecting a good experience and I want to be able to communicate that I want to be considered for a PPO interview, how to go about it??

Also, ask your seniors of this firm to refer you to another firm for an internship? Since this was an assessment internship, I am sure there must be someone who liked you enough in the team to get you a callback internship
I am 29. Started in Lit (2 years approx), then T2- Disputes (1+ years) and now In House (1+ years).
Saved about 5-6 lakhs till now.
Will delhi actually play a role and is it that worth it to shift at this point of time as first semester is already over and my internship is going to start soon.
it's not like you had anything to loose at this point, or maybe you did.

Hi, I'll be beginning my internship(non-assessment) next week. team hasn't been told yet but I am hoping to get Kunal's team because a) Have interacted with him in the past b) He's an alum c) Have a GC oriented CV

This stems from the top. As others - nothing against Harsh specifically - but he does tell his new associates that the same mid levels are to be "treated as clients". Sure, give associates (who were likely trained under same toxic conditions) - with no knowledge of management nor leadership nor proper mentorship, nor any consequences for handling said entrant - complete and utter control over clueless A0s, with at best a superficial understanding of the corporate world. What could go wrong! Lord help you if there are at all any personal issues in your life at that time.
And more importantly, those who were academically excellent are amongst the remaining 85%. I believe most of the NLUs at least are seeing this pattern.
Don't know, but if academics is an important factor in recruiting new lawyers, law firms have made themselves aloof to this creamy layer.

About the social science courses, I Agee that the way they are taught leaves much to be desired, barring a few courses at the top law schools. Right now we are forced to be mostly content with second grade social scientists who are willing to build their career at a single department faculty of law. most of them have not really interacted with the law and are quite clueless about how to locate their disciplines within the larger framework of law. However, I don't see this as a reason to altogether get rid of the idea that lawyers need to have some grip and tools to analyse the world around them.
I am guessing that you are an unhappy law student and it's perfectly normal to be frustrated with the absurd system that you are being put through - I have been exactly at that spot. try reading up things on your own - I can assure you that the effort will be worth it in the longer run.
Then I went on to do other things, I am now 36 years old, still in a live-in relationship
Was married to someone for 2 years, didn't last, my live in relationships seem to last longer than marriage :P
Live in during a short internship is not practical, also it is much easier when you are earning well. Focus on that - don't fantasize about live in unless you have your own place (or at least when you can rent an entire flat on your own)
