We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

This site is filled with 1st and 2nd yr law students speculating law firm hiring. Please don't ask here.
Get a life buddy, do not underestimate others.
I know that Yogesh Singh's team and Khansaheb's team have quality work, but how's the quality of work in AD and SA's team?
AFAIK, majority of people leave NUJS, NLIU, NLUJ, GNLU toh always, 1 -2 students leave NLS
Jokes apart- Try learning all the compliances, contracts and disputes work. Also, try thinking from the perspective of finance, sales, marketing since you will be working cross functionally. Also, keep an open mind, is duniya mein jisse seekhne ko mile usse dekho.
You can have people remotely do your drafting, research, customer support (calls) and massively reduce your work load and someone from a small town would stay in that budget long term if you give 10-20% hike per year
A realist
If yes, I am sure both these parties would be in need of people in their White collar crimes team.
1. NLSIU
Joint # 2. NALSAR or NLUD
4. JGLS (if you can afford it)
5. GNLU
Joint # 6. NUJS or NLUJ
8. NLIU
Joint #9. RMLNLU or RGNUL
Easier go at PPO
But, Bad work culture, stipend, A0 pay, HR, Partners, Coordination
S&R
Better stipend, culture, HR, Partners
Highest A0 Pay
But, Super selective process for PPO, Leaning exp will be lower due to the lesser clients- work
Apart from great placements, you do get some decent faculty and a great party culture. People even get fucking single rooms by the 3rd year.
Lastly, the alumni base is absolutely amazing with several recruiting partners in almost all T1 firms.
Was considering AAP because it has got good educated people. Even in DHC, so many GOOD lawyers are associated with it. Moreover, AAP is still expanding. Considerably less people.
Cong is already full of student activists, and expanded all around. More people, less opportunity?
I was thinking this way. Any insight?
And, NUJS.
Not that political parties have any values.
I'm not aware about AAP but INC has a Professional cell, AIPC. Last I checked it was headed by Shashi tharoor.
You could join that.
Renata is great for learning but dominated by 2 associates.
Look at the batch size.
There are many GNLU fan boys here but that's coz they have such a huge batch size.
Now coming to your question.
Fees at NUJS is at the higher side plus campus is also really small.
NLIU's fee is lower and campus is bigger, but campus size shouldn't be an issue at all.
If you're middle class I'm presuming you want placement, NUJS gives you slight advantage over NLIU.
studying at any average Delhi-NCR law college is a better deal because at least the location confers the student with certain benefits.
I'm just unsure as to how can I utilise my next 1.5 years productively before graduation.
Some people say that apply 4 months in advance and when i apply 4 months in advance, I get rejections stating that the slots are already booked. Can someone tell me the right time to apply at T1 and T2s.
I want yโall to drop opinions based upon placements, foreign exposure and litigation. Mods please mark this thread featured, so as to gain attention. I really need urgent help
See in these general examinations the competition is very high. People are prepping for like 4-5 years. So with a law education, this is a mere waste of your NLU education.
I would rather suggest some other options that will be very beneficial for you, please consider prepping for various PSU's Legal Recruitment Examinations, Local and Other Statutory government departments, and Agencies Legal Recruitment Examinations. Here many people are not even aware of these things and hence there is very little competition. Also, crack Clat PG as I have got some info that various PSUs use Clat PG for their legal vacancy recruitment.
Think about it.
Note - A few of these vacancies may require 1-2 years of Litigation experience.
Nobody from NLUD posts about how good our college is from Rest of the colleges.
We believe in working hard and let our work speak for us, that is what we stand for us.
Has anybody here been in the same situation?
Any advice on which one should I and how?
Should I join the legal cell or work as a member (Can't march and all).
In short, how do I start? Need guidance.
Motivation is to serve the marginalized people + Political power.
See, you have to understand things in correct perspective:-
1) Litigation / pvt practise is VERY costly (rent or supposed rent of office, maintenance , payment to juniors
2) as your matter increases you will have to keep Juniors and pay them well . Those who have talent wont stick and those who dont will be a burden on you and your office space
3) Best well read juniors either go into corporate and only graduates from local colleges will be available for your office. You cant have 'A' level game, with 'D' level players
4) Inflation is making it tougher for everyone and anyone to join and continue litigation for several years. So, it we are seeing a end of an era.
5) Nobody wants to ruin mental health by working in bad infra , abusive local bar associations (think MP HC Bar - they burned the building last year , Think Delhi HC Bar the recent abuse in canteen for life. Why should someone ? People would very well teach kids , do some course , do coding and exit from that toxic place.
6) Litigation is also for those who know how to 'Chuna Lagao' Client / Milking the Client
7) Back in the days , life was simple today you have 10 things to do and maintain and you had help from your spouse as there was only one working partner. Nowadays , both partners are working and you have to take care of things outside work. That's the reason people are leaving litigation and law firms (except that law firms pay good)
And guess what? Itโs always better to pay 15k and not get placed than to take a loan, pay 15L and still not get placed :โ)
Especially for Corp placements, if you are top of batch, I don't see why you shouldn't be placed easily.

We do see parallels among Indian university kids as wellโฆ
So I am thinking to again do llb from glc just to get into corporate world. Would it work ?
