Your dreams of easy lateral movement are only possible up till you’re a Senior Associate. After that - it’s REALLY TOUGH, which sucks because at 32 if you’re in any other career - you’re just getting started?

The thing to watch out for is how many of them make it to the SC. Shwetasree has age on her side and will get preference because of the gender imbalance, but the easier route is for a Senior Advocate to get direct elevation to the SC. Dayan Krishnan could be a possibility. GShanks used to be a favourite, but I think Jai Dehadari dragging his name into the Mahua Moitra dog-napping case has hurt his reputation (in case you don't know, Jai claims Gopal called him up and said that Mahua would return Jai's dog if Jai withdrew his CBI complaint; Gopal admitted to calling him and withdrew as Mahua's counsel).

Universities across the world follow what youre describing as sudhirs way. As someone else pointed out- Harvard has the same policies that Sudhir is attempting to put in here. So maybe hes relying on evidence from other places?
You can disagree with him- but ideally your disagreement should be based on thoughtful consideration. Why do you think his methodology is lacking? Why do you think his responses arent convincing?
Thats a far more interesting conversation to have than " oh well some other people have said some stuff so im gonna dismiss this guy". Its the internet- some other people will always have said some stuff.
