AFAIK, Shyam Divan did most of heavy lifting and others filled in. So he should be lead counsel.
This number of "thousands" that you're quoting, why don't you check the govt data and see how much percentage it translates to. You'll be shocked to know the percentage will be lesser than 10% (I'm being generous here)
As an intern I used file upload sites to sneak out my research notes. Later used them as reference for my CV primer.
Since it is only for the purposes of your internship period, a PG would suit your needs. Getting a flat on rent for less than 3 months is too much of a hassle
It's because a disproportionately high number of SC seats have gone to Yadavs and Meenas at the expense of other SC castes. Communities like the Musahars of Bihar or Matuas of Bengal are practically invisible at IITs or UPSC jobs. A creamy layer requirement will correct that.
I’ve interned at the Bangalore office of CAM sometime in the past year and there were around 6 interns.
the team has no set process, no scope for personal development or professional development AT ALL.
I've offer from two firms. Should I choose real estate work or direct tax work? Considering pay for direct tax is a bit higher than real estate. Please answer in terms of growth in the future etc. (I'm based out of chennai)
Law firms are high pressure and work is intense. Its not even the hours, it’s how intense the scrutiny is that you are always ”mentally on”. It’s not you, it happens to the best of us. The constant pressure sucks the fun out of being a lawyer.
How's Indus Law chennai's environment, culture, growth, increment and raise after a year for an A0? (Real estate team)
A new law firm called Kosmos Partners was recently established in Bangalore by two women, Vasanthika and Rashmi. I saw their LinkedIn post announcing the launch. Do you know what type of work they specialize in and what the partners are like?
No, but the moment his scores slip, he will be reminded of his identity as a dalit. As a UC student myself, I've seen that happen at my own NLU with my friends belonging to reserved communities.
Is this actually true? I know SAs/PAs who have moved to Magic Circle as associates. This is the first I'm hearing of a T1 partner moving as Associate
If you aren't from the reserved communities, then you wouldn't have faced them. Almost every person belonging to such communities has. For instance, treated differently from their batchmates, colleagues, socially including during marriages etc.
Because those same alumni have been treated within their institution differently compared to their UC batchmates. That has not changed even today.
+1. Worst internship experience. Don’t sign up for such toxicity.
Seriously they make people suffer like anything. Wishing no one joins and go through this trauma
LI is not supposed to be the Indian version of WikiLeaks Law firm edition and Kian isnt Julian Assange

give them a break
WhatsApp?

Or put it in draft and download on your phone. Nobody traces draft emails and nobody can.
You’re an intern and your areas are PE, VC & M&A??? Dude your areas right now are β€˜give me any work and I will slog my ass to do it’.
thank you so much! It's Khaitan and I chose the team myself since I felt like it is an interesting field
True. MNLU Mumbai is a state university. That's why we need to avoid state universities. Painful. Isn't it? And don't make the mistake of comparing NLUs with IIMs.
Same as title?
If any pay difference across locations, variable pay across teams, fixed + variable?
Any leads, will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

(@Mods: Please approve this on priority)
Which partner's team has vacancy? Would want to aim for a PPO here. Also any tips on how to impress people here.
People are hard working there though. I've happened to meet some very smart interns in my team from this college
There may be multiple bad things about the college but faculty is really learned there. I have a friend studying there
In recent times, a good bunch has managed to get into tier 1 law firms though. 3-4 people have made partners too from their college recently
Title. Any reviews about the salary (for an A1/A2), work, culture, Partner(s), and just everything one should know about the place. They seem to be doing a lot of work and would just appreciate any insights with respect to the same.

Thanks!
Just political pressure groups showing their power. Naive of you to think politically unprivileged can successfully execute these bandhs and chakka jaams in modern India.
Wow!! What a response - "Just because the words are changing doesn't mean the argument is changing"! You may really have some work to do :)!
If you are dumb enough to ask this on LI, just don’t bother trying to do this - most likely you will be dumb enough to get caught doing it.
Same situation but worse, I got a call last week and it’s radio silence since then.

Any words of wisdom, guys?
Pornography and video games have been around since before you were born. That would mean you yourself have been so influenced.
While I like Haidt's philosophy and used to think of it as profound, there have been questions raised on his methodology. Much of his work has not gone through peer review, and many academic psychologists don't take him seriously.
No, they aren't. But no, the former shouldn't be excluded either. The inclusion serves the purpose of representation. For solving inequality within the reserved community, other measures have to be undertaken, not this one.
Shh. Being interested in tea doesn't make you any less of a life-haver
Really disgusting to see Delhi page 3 β€œliberals”make all sorts of excuses for Mamata and engage in whataboutery . You people should one-off that grassroots left workers in Bengal, who don’t live luxurious lives yourselves, are the ones leading the protest.
Need an internship at T-1 and have no contacts. Please let me know how and where to secure internship by cold-mailing Partners etc.? Have a good resume, just need a response.
Hey so I have an internship at Veritas for Jan. How is the work, work life balance etc. I've heard that they have a great wlb but some people claim otherwise. Also lol this is far fetched but how does their PPO process go? I'm graduating in 2026.
Please suggest PGs for girls near Fort, Mumbai. I am shifting to Mumbai for an A0 position at a boutique firm. I am looking for PGs or hostels that are affordable (less than 15k).
How easy or how difficult is to shift from starting a career with tier 2 law firm then shifting to tier 1 for a non nlu but du graduate.

Like say starting a career with Dentons link legal then shifting to t1.
Hi, can anyone please tell me the names of a few firms that offer internships to students post their 4th Semester (preferably in Delhi/NCR).
But this trollish comment is the reality which Noone can deny..
Can someone tell me what's the pay scale at Argus Mumbai for A1s and A2s?
Any way to do that? Can't mail it to myself.

Can someone please suggest any other way?
And share of profit in addition to this? What would that amount to additionally?
Which firm is this btw? And did they allot you comp law or did you choose it?

Also, in general, from what my friends who have interned in comp teams have told me, comp law really does not require much preparation at all and anyone can truly wing it. So dw much:)
I know a couple who are a throuple with brothers.

Shardul - Amarchand - Mangaldas and Cyril - Amarchand - Mangaldas.
That's all in the website itself nothing in reality the associate partner treats the interns as slaves and just vanish away during the evening when it is meant for the interns to leave the office. The working culture is also not so commendable as heard from others.
Not possible, that would imply there's a shareholding lmao.

NDA might be the only firm where this even possible i think
Guys how many rounds of interview do they generally conduct for an A0 position at LKS?
And, how do you prepare? Any tips?
Going to go out on a limb here and say yes it is (with caveats). It will aid you in meeting the master's degree requirement for certain jobs while retaining work-ex without a gap. Not much learning, just the ease of obtaining degree makes it worth the price in the longer run.
clear 3rd year would be a better phrase - some never cross over to the 4th . crash and burn.
After day zero, it's no more a PPO. You'll get in if fortune favours you, but it's like a 5 percent chance compared to 30-40 percent before day zero.
How much of 377 did she actually argue on her own, apart from giving media bytes after the hearings?
Clat preference is no 7 because as a general rule of average 30-50% ppl taking clat are from UP. They will always prefer it right outside top 5 even over HNLU NLUO kinds.
Bro not even Jindal’s offline llm is worth it, forget about online.
Smart Partner, good work. She needs some anger management and patience classes.
There is no clarity, IPC doesn't inform anything. Seniors are interested in everything else aside from giving some useful guidance.
I wouldn't be sure about going so far as to say that the "game the system" part is correct, that's a pretty serious accusation. But the rest is entirely right.
Amit Kapur, Hemant Sahai, Sitesh Mukherjee, visrov, aniket prasoon, sri venkatesh, sakya.
i mean itna kya alag hai a&o shearman etc mein? so much so that people who are partners here are ready to let go of the partnership in order to be an associate there?
There is hardly any 'good' faculty. They lack research and publications and industry exposure.
Menaka’s Time magazine write up was written by Priyanka Chopra. That says it all, really.
Yet I did get the job and have kept it without Sudhir's baptism rituals by fire.
I can prove myself. So can other people in other law schools, who also do it. They don't have to face oppression while doing so. I fail to see why I have to either. There is no evidence of Sudhir's way producing better results.
Richard Whish, Mark Furse, Vinod Dhall (old version only available), CCI advocacy material available on their website, articles on digital market and competition law issues, law firm pieces on combination regulations and CCI orders.
Just like your fanboying looks like an action from a stooge, who has got no interest in understanding the problems faced by other people as long his own narrative can be peddled about idolising an individual with shady record.
You are making a different claim. Earlier you had put the generation in crosshairs. Now it's shifted to companies doing targeted business. Make up your mind.
Just like MNLU Mumbai has zipped past NALSAR, NLUJ, NUJS etc. in the last five years?
I am not being fooled. Unfortunately the left because of faulty strategies and outdated leadership has failed to convince the people of Bengal in the last ten years that it represents a credible alternative, ceding even the opposition space to the BJP.
You can't get into any Indian university's PhD programme or assistant professor position with an online LLM. If your certificate doesn't mention the online status and you want to keep it hidden, then that's a different ethical issue.
get out and safe yourself, unless you want to bbargin on your self-respect and salary.
