We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.
Note that what you find here is written and moderated by anonymous people on the internet.
Therefore everything you read here is very likely unverified, rumour, speculation and/or downright false.
In continuing to read anything here, you must therefore agree not to take anything you read here as factual and that you will exercise due caution, diligence and common sense before acting on any information you may come across here.
You also agree to report any inaccurate or malicious comments with the buttons. Moderators take action within 24 hours, as required and appropriate under law.
Our full terms and conditions apply too.
Do you solemnly agree to all of the above?
1. Because NLSIU students are better behaved and serious about their studies
2. Because Bengaluru is better than Sonipat and safer for women
3. Because Sudhir focuses more on academic rigour
4. Because NLSIU is a more prestigious brand
5. Because Rajkumar's style of functioning is non-transparent
6. Because some unpopular professors at JGLS have got too much power and are calling the shots
7. Because Jindal is tilting to the right and marginalising the left: e.g. expansion only in STEM from now on; new engineering and medical schools coming up; right-wing research centres being set up; more emphasis on corporate/commercial than public law law; human rights conferences and projects being branded by admin as woke and not receiving budgetary approval etc.
8. Any other reason (please specify)
1. King and Partridge (Tax - DT and IDT, Corporate Litigation): As an intern, you aren't assigned a team, but you can take work from any team.
2. Chamber of A Shankar (Senior Advocate) and juniors (and their respective offices)- DT litigation
3. Chamber of V Raghuraman (Senior Advocate) / VR Associates- IDT litigation
4. Chamber of KK Chythanya (Senior Advocate) - DT litigation
5. Huilgol Law Chambers - Sandeep Huilgol - DT and IDT litigation
6. Chamber of Lakshmi Menon - litigation in tax and other areas
Having said that, if you have some(1-2 years) decent experience and are demonstrably industrious. And are willing to consider not the usual big names and and assisting role as the 2nd chair.
Delhi is in some ways spoilt for choice with decent sized filing Chambers and particularly AoR offices. With a mix of SC/DHC/Insolvency/Electricity/Arbitration matters such offices can be gold, provided one is will to work hard.
X comes from both sources (father and mother) so mostly it recombines taking features from mother and father both.
However the "7"/"8" paternal haplogroups does not make any sense. India has many, R1a, R2, K2a, J2a, J1, H2a, C1-C2, I1 and so on and so forth. These are way more than 8. If you include subclades, then you will have hundreds.
Mitochondrial DNA is not very informative as it is inherited from mothers. In general parlance it is seen that it is usually the men who migrate in and out, and mtDNA of a population remains relatively stable with variance introduced in centuries.

Also, when Trudeau stops trucker protests, isn't that an erosion of civil liberties? When the Telegram founder is arrested in Europe, isn't that an erosion of civil liberties and democracy? As Elon Musk has pointed out, Meta also has many pedophiles and child abusers among its users, yet Zuck is not arrested as he is close to liberal ecosystem.
Wake up and escape the Matrix, you guys!
Thanks.

One of my friend said that ILS is losing its glory, and there is no such scope of doing great after passing from this law school.
( Please clarify)
This?
All the best.
T1 is not some Ivy League, im from NALSAR and the faculty at all years suck, hearing similar things from other T1s.
I liked the fact that she mentioned Harvey Weinstein and #MeToo, making the point that patriarchy is a problem in the West too --- because the BBC and the anchor have traces of colonial prejudice.
Also, the anchor, typical of the BBC's left-wing bias, tried to portray the BJP as misogynistic but did not say a word about the TMC and Mamata. The anchor also again tried to attack the BJP by trying to say that India is backsliding in the BJP, and that 10 years ago gays, women and Muslims had more freedom in India.
To Karuna's credit, she didn't take the bait entirely and make it a Modi-bashing session, but I do wish she had pointed out the misuse of the police by STATE governments, including the Congress, TMC, DMK etc.
Incidentally, Karuna is also a Time 100 awardee like Menaka G.

- Lawyers are free to choose their clients
- Menaka is a star and will always be remembered in history as the lawyer who worked to strike 377 down.
Paralegal's are not confirmed but on a general basis most do get confirmed.
This reads like a fourth year student who has too much free time and has been spending said free time on Fox News for some reason. What kind of moron voluntarily gets brainwashed by a different country's "entertainment" channel? I don't see white people randomly switching on Republic and watching Arnab demand drugs on live TV. Funny business.
Started in the same boat as you. The only real solution was just knowing that everyone else is also doing this for the first (maybe second) time. Everyone talks out of their ass. You have to sift through the huge volume of advice you get, and choose for yourself what makes most sense. As a rule of thumb, never discount anyone instantly, but also don't believe them. Your own gut (if you're honest with yourself) is a better guide. If you think a senior is telling you something useful, yeah, probably true to some extent. If a batchmate brags about all the readings they've completed, probably a lie.
I say "started" in the same boat as you, because I'm much more confident in general now, with these things in mind. Doing excellent in acads + extras and whatever else is stereotypical lawschool stuff. The beginning is rough, and it gets harder, but you also get stronger. Do try to get therapy or something if you canโmedication may not be the best off the boat, but good quality psychotherapy can be a gamechanger.
Anyone you think one should avoid, anyone you think is highly recommended or just anything else in general? (Use the initials, do not use the name, otherwise these guys will never publish any answer only, despite it being helpful)
Thank you!
Also, do your SA/PA promotions get announced in August?? For most firms itโs in March and Partner promotions in May.
