I liked the fact that she mentioned Harvey Weinstein and #MeToo, making the point that patriarchy is a problem in the West too --- because the BBC and the anchor have traces of colonial prejudice.
Also, the anchor, typical of the BBC's left-wing bias, tried to portray the BJP as misogynistic but did not say a word about the TMC and Mamata. The anchor also again tried to attack the BJP by trying to say that India is backsliding in the BJP, and that 10 years ago gays, women and Muslims had more freedom in India.
To Karuna's credit, she didn't take the bait entirely and make it a Modi-bashing session, but I do wish she had pointed out the misuse of the police by STATE governments, including the Congress, TMC, DMK etc.
Incidentally, Karuna is also a Time 100 awardee like Menaka G.

Also, when Trudeau stops trucker protests, isn't that an erosion of civil liberties? When the Telegram founder is arrested in Europe, isn't that an erosion of civil liberties and democracy? As Elon Musk has pointed out, Meta also has many pedophiles and child abusers among its users, yet Zuck is not arrested as he is close to liberal ecosystem.
