Read on your mobile while commuting. Use Kindle app or some other app for other format of document. Works well. Been doing it for last few years now.
Can someone please shed some light on the captioned partner's team and culture?
I work out 6 days a week which is one of the biggest relaxations. Golf, holidays, time with the love of my life. I am blessed to be able to regulate my work and schedule as I desire. I suppose if one can be the master of one’s own time, that is a great victory.
Join a book club and try to read fiction. You'll find some or the other book club on Instagram for your city. Non fiction is good but it won't provide you the same escape as fiction, particularly if you've to read a LOT in your job.
Fees is lesser there. The degree is value for money. If money is not a concern, then JGLS is good.
There are multiple threads already present. Please go through them, the bottom line is they are both amazing NLUs and will give you ample opportunities. You can't go wrong with either one.
Most mooots have no bar on LLM students but most colleges have LLB dominated student bodies that monopolised mooting for LLB students and excludes masters students
In that case, NLS should be subsumed under Bangalore University itself; after all, the land that NLS has belongs to Bangalore University anyway. Being within BU, NLS can offer any degree it wants.
That is exactly what I thought when I saw this. Why is NLS targeting an "Ashoka" type crowd? Here, the mention of Ashoka is not a compliment.
Amazing how one man can absolutely wreck 30+ years of institution building. This has to be some kind of record.
NLS is a little college, and with just the 5 year Ug claw course it's more like a polytechnic. a university required multiple disciplines to converge.
so NLS decides to act like its a university and the clowns in the 5 year UG programme starts whining that its no longer just a college.
Oh don't give me that rubbish! Have those kids ever cleaned a toilet in their lives? Of course not! Make them work at McDonald's for a month like how they make them do in America, and all this toxicity will come pouring out of their backsides.
Hemant Krishna at SAM Bangalore. Knows his stuff, always calm, will take the time to teach you a thing or two even if you are interning with his team.
What is cheeky about Nando's?

Plus it is cheap af, no big deal for an A0 to have it for dinner daily either.
Kyu bhai kya Ganda trade off hai paisa milega but baaki sab le lenge tumseh
I have a drafting test with Khaitan this Saturday. If anyone has given their drafting test with Khaitan, can you please help out and tell me what exactly happens in this drafting test and what questions are given under this drafting test?
Why can't all of us just get together and change the industry. Can we please stop these irrelevant battles of nlu vs nlu and nlu vs alll other institutions
Interesting answer. Would've completely missed it if I had not decided to scroll LI first thing in the morning.
Which Tier-1s or 2 law firms are expected to have vacancies for their Non-Dispute team in the Mumbai office starting from April 2025 for third-year candidates?
One hundred percent you're either an irrelevant corporate lawyer or some unknown lowly advocate. Tell us your name.
Who cares about some guy who left the country? That man was loaded to afford doing law from abroad. Who cares
Finish 10th, then 12th, then CLAT, then 10 semesters of law school and then MAYBE you can sit and think about all this. Go watch doraemon instead.
They are in the habit of throwing their blame to the junior and pull each other's leg in the office. The enviroment is toxic that it would make your each passing day no better than hell.
hello ma'am/sir, is there a chance you could refer this silly 3rd year lad to work under your team? I'd be really grateful if you do give me a chance. Please consider, and if you do agree, share any anonymous email id where I can shoot you a mail. Thank you so much!
Jindal (if you have money) > NLUO(if you want placements)/RGNUL(if you are interested in Judiciary/UPSC)>SLS Pune(not Nagpur and noida)>Jindal (if you don’t have money) > Christ
if your parents can afford to send you to Jindal, go to NUJS or NLUJ through their NRI quota. Taking a drop is always unpredictable. Get into a college first, you can always reappear if you wish to.
So you consider clat ranks to be the merit in the real practical world. Lmao.
Not NLS, NALSAR, NUJS and NLUJ. All other. You should ideally choose GNLU if you get it, and NUJS NRI quota if you opted for it and if your parents are rich.
why do they even bother taking inteerviews for those with low ranks if they only have to reject them?
well, to look at the brighter side, it does increase our pool of dating options. With all of those pretty arts chicks coming in, we're def not complaining
This attitude is what’s getting NLU kids a bratty impression across firms. 4th year kids thinking they have the world at their feet without ever stepping an actual foot out in the real world.
Is this normal for others as well ? I can't remember anything I studied and need to refer bare acts
Who exactly are β€œelite” kids? Are all English speaking elite? Or rich blokes? Or well connected to vips? Or are you talking about caste? make yourself clear the subsection of students you are referring to.
Yes, one of the associates doesn't even know how to frame a research proposition. They have filled the team with associates who have no other options.
Check rules of the concerned competition. Most are open only to students pursuing their LL.B. degree.
My guy, no option is worth it - get a hint! Indian academia ain't worth it either, despite the efforts of Shamnad Bashir, Sudhir Krishnaswamy and others.
Ooo! Which VC are you from the TLC lobby? Which fake uni issued your in-the-toilet PhD? What, on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being very low and 10 being very high), is your level of envy towards Sudhir? Just to let you know, your pretending is not very good!
Said professor had a rank in the 80s when back in the day NLSIU admitted only 57 in the merit list and 23 in caste quotas. Said professor chose not to study at NALSAR or NUJS. Went to Stephens and then law abroad.

Man NLSIU had such high standards those days!
So really getting confused between these two , someone please delve into the respective universities they are in so that it can help me to make decision as preference needs to be filled by 20th
I have heard that there are either very good faculty at MNLU Mumbai or very bad ones. Nothing in between. Is that true? Who all are good faculty members.
If the terminology 3rd year includes someone who has completed his/her third year, then yes i got the internship there
If you’re a potential direct campus hire, then 2 rounds of interview both with partners (including one of the managing partners).

For assessment interns/ppo ppo scenes, it’s mostly up to the partner’s discretion
Legalogic only hires men in Litigation because their Head feels women can't work overnights. Their department works past 8 pm every single day.
Hi everyone,

I will be interning in Luthra in GENCORP practice area. I want to know more about the PPO/Assesment opprtunities at this place? Do they hire? What is the pay like?
I will respond to this with a regret a lot of the partners carry- that they weren’t around enough when their child was growing up.

I hope this answers your query adequately.
Shud i take NLUO or rgnul instead of symbi, jindal or christ. Also how is christ. Haven't heard much. Tell me all about NLUO and RGNUL. Pros and cons pls pls
Should i take NLUO or RGNUL or instead go for symbi/jindal/christ. I personally don't want private coz i do VALUE the NLU tag real bad. I also need placements. What should i do? PLS HELPP
Jodhpur, as a city, ain't that great. Toxicity among batches is too much to handle, but the hostel is decent, the food is shit though we survive mostly on Maggie and Swiggy
Drop a mail to the VC. Form a new centre, trust me very easy to form a centre in NLUJ. Be the next Osho. We will support you.
amen brother, but avoiding making out when Football team is practicing for ffs.
They have become more technical now.

I have seen rejections of a few kids based on their CGPAs. Make sure you are not below Top 10.
Go to Malviya nagar, shivalik colony or geetanjali colony both are walking distance from the Malviya nagar metro and hauz khas is just one station from Malviya nagar metro
LI won't let us take names but there is a prof who is as dumb as a lawyer can possibly be, and is only kept around because of his daddy, who is a visiting faculty at NLUD.
Why no body funding NLUs or they look law profession less of interest then engineering, architecture medical traditional courses.
I really don't wanna regret taking a particular university, can y'all help me with this one :')
Says the guy who made it to an NLU when the number of applicants were mere 1500.
Thanks, this is OP, Ekta is great, I’ve worked opposite the team on a few transactions. Perhaps a bit too senior for what I’m looking for.
Can I take printed bare acts inside the exam hall? instead of buying all the bare acts for a one time use.
Mod won't allow my post criticising Gopal Sankarnarayan but allows this.
There are rejections fr. One of my friends did face it. But I'll spill that he was not a topper, so ya, for toppers, interviews are a mere formality
Is gets through and my submission on Law firm monotony wont? Aaj admin paneer khayega
Dont worry, it’ll cleanup when the top two batches leave ^\^^/^
SAM is a very close-networked firm. If you get an internship through contact, then yes, you can expect a call-back [provided you work hard and work smart]. I have heard that they even give PPOs to those with contacts.
I have heard that Rajaram Legal is a great firm to join and offers permanent WFH. How do I get in and what is the pay structure? The transactions team seems lucrative.
Trilegal has selected a bunch of students from JGLS for Spring/Summer 2025 internships. They were selected via interviews.
that guy from RGNUL who ghostwrites for Bajpai and has no joined NLUD
I remember Yogesh joking that his doctor said Delhi isn't good for his health anymore
Nalsar is waiting for you buddy, just show up at their gates.
You can but ensure you're ready for a 45-50 minutes grilling session
Go for it, although you might get only tier 3 there. In vacancy try for tier 2 or even some tier 1. You can get those
Ha ha ha! Totally copying Jindal's BA in law course 🀣🀣🀣

Harvard of the East ❌

Jindal of the South βœ…
Kolkata beats Gandhinagar by miles. As for placement, NUJS placement is and has always been better, not in by law firms but also places like Vidhi.
As someone who has only been living in Kolkata for the last three years, I disagree. The city is fun to live, very cheap, got an amazing food scene, places to chill, nice cafes, great connectivity.
Sudhir already started the school thing by offering CLAT coaching to aspirants.
