Hi. What's the average pay in fairly well known/busy filing chambers in Delhi for lawyers with 2 years PQE? Especially for lawyers who appear in atleast 3-4 matters everyday for the chamber and do atleast 1-2 fresh filings for the chamber every week?
Does P&A have good GC work ? What are they paying to A2s/A3s ? Please let me know guys!
JSA is not T1 please. It is in the scales of TT&A, CMS Indus, Touchstone, etc. More marketing ≠ Higher Tier.
Hii Op, when did you apply for it? Also could u hint as to what stood out to them, if possible tysmm
I think you should choose Bombay Law Chambers. It is far better from Samvad Mumbai.
Yea lol no one is even contesting they have better placements than nluj or not but here they are typing the ever annoying"ZBs"
Cool what about the big 3 (nls, nalsar, nujs) ? They always perform good so its bit of pedantic to ask
Acting so desperate as your whole life depends on it. Move on !! T1 is a circus one should avoid. It's jst a callback at the end of the day
one caveat - the main thing is the right supervisor. if you get them invested early you can have a honest chat with them about how the program works.
Manmeet Singh - enjoyed working with him, and his corporate law background helps with commercial teams. He gets the corporate guys and can explain stuff to them like a corporate lawyer and good with lit stuff
Am curious too- what's the feedback on the off campus options? Is it only for first year students? Are Bangalore domicile kids allowed to stay in the hostel at all?
Tuli Disputes is the sarkari naukri you will eventually get bored off. Even Money wouldn't suffice after a point of time.
Dude, Tuli does not pay 'sub par'. Get your facts straight
Shocked to see LI moderation on this post. You wont let even a sly remark about some random senior associate from some random law firm get published on this platform, but a respectable retired HC judge can be maligned like this? Sick.
Really? The man who had the spine to stand against the ruling party, is a clout chaser? Why don’t you go pick up a book to read before spreading misinformation online.
delhi is pretty hierarchical but hours and office presence requirements are better

bombay optics are max

this is general ofc varies depending on your team
Try talking to your mentor about getting permission to do it offline or will this affect the amount of work you'll get, generally they allow for the permission. If your are interning in July its a fucked up month.
I am an A3 in corporate law and I am significantly burnt out. I am looking to resign, take a break and then get back to work and I wanted to know if anyone has any experiences / stories to share about how their career breaks impacted their career (in the short / long term).
Hate to burst your bubble, love. An LL.B is a degree, not a superpower... despite what your reply seems to believe.
1000s of cases pending for decade and here we have these ▮▮▮ fighting over their fucking pet before the High Court of the national capital. Man, this country really is going to the dogs.
since when have they started taking internship interviews? It was always those questions on higher knowledge
When I spoke to a few faculties working at BITS Law, I also heard that they offer UGC scales only. I'm hearing something else altogether here on LI.
If you look at plans for the new hostel at NLS, they're also nice.

But I'd always say this- grass is greener on the other side.
what to expect: in person interview+ written assessment at Ira Law as a fresher, post an online meet with 2 partners.
The package they offers to freshers is somewhere around 4-6 LPA (Heard it from a friend)
The Capital markets team is good their maybe in between of tier 2 and tier 3.
Thanks for the reply.. in case he’s not taking up any matters, would you recommend another mentor for direct tax in Bombay HC and ITAT Mumbai? Thanks!
Considering that cap marks is the sole bread winner for them, it is logical. Corporate is a second. Disputes ka to poocho mat!!
This fellow and that Madan Lokur. Lesser said of them both, the better. Absurdly partisan. As retired judges they should know better.
There is a view among several T1 partners than AI can do the job an A0, making them reluctant to hire. Can’t wait for this AI bubble to burst.
one thing i like about LI is that GNLU guys automatically get butthurt, even when no one mentions them. what's the reason behind this insane insecurity? guess the higher number of jobs doesn't solve the wrong within, right?
Depends on your mentor completely, link is circulated by the HR after 2 3 days of internship completion. He/she will fill, they generally forgert
Just text your mentor. They forget to fill the feedback form sometimes.
Swarnima's team has the highest attrition rate; but even Veena's is quite high from what I've heard
You can go daily, there's no bar to it if it's Bangalore office. Else, you'll be allotted alternate days to go.

It's true that stipend is not paid, if someone goes using reference.
We need more and more researchers. Please do not discourage future researchers.
Interesting law podcasts to watch? Have been seeing so many new law podcasts popping up, especially Law Colleges hosting them...
its actually pretty decent as per my sources:

GNLU -12-13?
NLUJ - 17
NLIU - 14-15, apparently TMT teams of T1s especially
NLUD -16-18

RML - 4-5? but im not sure if they are T1
Nowhere is this post targeting her just because shes a woman?
Instead of constructively dealing with the allegations raised here, resorting to this is kinda low ngl
Your comment makes it seem that in a couple of years NLUJ is going to get 110 PPO(s). lmao are u guys afraid gnlu might outperform you again ?
Hi everyone, I’ve been shortlisted for an interview with the Disputes team at JSA, Delhi. Could anyone share what kind of questions are usually asked and how long the interview typically lasts?”
Please don't misguide the younger generation. These figures maybe accurate for other T1s where the senior partners own huge book. The clients approach LKS solely for the face value of LK & S. So there is no incentive to pay so much to the senior partners.
Location, price and other info?

Is this very common now at NLSIU and other NLUs too, given the slum-like conditions of most hostels?
Well said. Class is all that maters. This is exactly why caste reservation is useless and a divisive strategy to fool the masses. What we need is class reservation: strictly income-based.
HSFK Sova assessment is slop. The feedback is mechanically generic and almost instant, like some numbers move the moment you hit submit and you are told to improve on almost all parameters.

LL cappfinity is great.
just want to take a second to record my rage towards the TAE here. Trilegal Management (now that we have a CEO and whatnot), this system is so fucking stupid. do better
there may or may not be a ppo interview depending on the team. there's no bias against private colleges, plenty of ppos are handed out
You did not link the report. If you have to critique someone, the lest you can do is to read the report or feed it to GPT and ask for rebuttals. It's a very lazy approach
Would Jgls actually be a bad option? I'm doing it from a top tier NLU but wouldn't Jindal have a similar reputation as, say, BITS Pilani in engineering, in the sense that it is constantly competing with top IITs.
Internal awards in a company or law firm. It shows to future recruiters that you were a good performer at your current organisation and not some stagnant career guy looking to exit for a pay hike.
my senior is literally paying me 45k and I didn't even intern with him previously, great work environment too
duh lol? she was at trilegal as a counsel under delano, she was not a partner and had no associates reporting plus no one has left post her or is on notice from that team.
I don't mind contrarians such as yourself, I just prefer that they don't use AI to make their points for them
I have only heard about rejections for not meeting the online assessment benchmark. I am confused about whether those who have cleared the benchmark will receive a direct interview or be rejected upon review like what is the next step?
Khaitan legal associates. Though not T1 and with sub par pay, it’s probably only firm with deep insurance work on all areas. Consider varsha jalan team for solid insurance exposure
Karanjawala is not a T1 sir/madam.T1 is Trilegal, SCAM, Shaitan, AZB. Jury is out on Luthra and Luthra & Saraf, but they used to be T1 at some point
Anoop is good with a good knowledge of IBC. However the Team has seen very high attrition in past few years at mid and lower levels. Bad communication mannerism and hours between the team so avoid.
Start networking early onwards. Pick the practice area best suited to your location and ofc interests. Give it your all except health. If it is working you will know, if it isnt you’ll know that too, trust your gut, and jump the ship if you have to.
I did and I see 2 vac schemes already to people who worked hard for it. Let the T1 guys get some glory after all the hate they get.
Touchstone blr vs Touchstone mumbai. Who is hiring whats the scene, team, culture etc. Any inputs would be helpful.
Hey! In desperate need of a list of teams hiring across mumbai/ blr. Even a list of firms rolling out assessment internships would be helpful. Thanks.
Even we have one in our office ! Doesn't do anything ! Just hogs on drafts for month, paid the most. Can't even complaint as he's the bosses pet.
A little birdie tells me the Delhi High Court is designating 80+ senior counsels in a couple of days. The notification should be out soon. Any guesses who's getting silk?
Absolutely right. Thats fixed though. There would around 20 in bonus after
You don't move up the ladder by drinking whiskey. You move up by sheer competence as a lawyer. Get your fundas right.
I want to get a call back but there is no work. Condition is same in all the team.
Hey I will be joining a T1 law firm and I have explored a lot of options on Facebook pages for flats but they are far away from sector 16 noida. If there are any leads kindly help.
Senior partners start at 2.5 crores fixed + 70-80 lakhs bonus
Though would also suggest that taking anonymous advice like this is not very wise. Settle on a law firm whom you think is good and get their advice. Remember, nobody here is duty-bound to give advice according to your best interests as a client.
Would suggest going with ADGM. The English courts are quite a desirable venue to settle commercial disputes. This would be the best structure for you to navigate that jurisdiction.
Yes that is true. He helped me quite a lot that now resulted me joining a fund
sorry in my last message i meant to say i passed their benchmark, my assessment was easy, did you receive any confirmation as well?
I come to LI to feel better and somehow end up feeling worse lol
That's a lot bro, how's this possible, crying in poverty 😔
