As a matter of fact, the pay is competitive and matches other T1s only for the first 3-4 years, after which the hike is very minimal. Keep this in mind before being lured away with the A0 offers.
What about the employment team? How is the employment team in the firm?
Not sure they’ll make it to their 25th anniversary
Any idea what their work culture and leave/wfh policies are? Is management good or toxic?
Absolutely. This world would be a better place if people realise that it's class wars that is more important than anything other war. It's us vs them. The elite (1%) vs the rest (99%). When people fight for this class difference that's when we will reach places.
Ott but that wedding was too low key in the context of it being a VIP wedding.

I believe from the legal fraternity, Mohit Saraf, Geeta Luthra and the GOAT Tarun Nanga were there.
BITS Law School pays more than UGC and Jindal.

Enough to incentivise faculty with a good PhD from elite foreign institutions not to be bothered by future UGC pay scale revisions.
CAM mei easily contacts nahi chalte bhai (at least from what I know at the fresher level), which is why I am surprised
it is funny how when you were staring off, you seemed to have been entirely convinced that you would not be practising law, but have gone back on your words now and seem to eventually enter the profession. good luck, Somesh!
any thoughts on the team? wlb? culture? expectations? just vibe in general? also do they have vacancies?
ELP has always been tax heavy since its founding. And some of the partners you mentioned left quite long back. Don't create something from nothing
is there any idea on how many ppl crack it or get rejected? worried about my own application
1-2 week long (depending on other team members as well, half the team has to always be present) during court summer vacation

one week hopefully last week of december - again during court vacation
In my case it's for an A0 position and I've been only interviewed once. Were you interviewed for A0 and it took 60 days?
hello sumesh like I got 89% in my 10th boards and I am not from a elite school I am willing to do anything for my dream plzz guide , did u get any scholarships ???? your reply can change someone's entire life scenario .
Q: Which is the most misogynist website where any ambitious lady will be trolled and targeted?

A: Legally India.
I mean a lot of those folks have left. Ashish left, Vishwas left, Indra left and Manveen left. They have good faculty but the moves are a bit surprising. Bits pays UGC scale, so salary wise, they won't match JGLS.
Hey!

This link on reddit might help. I have on epf my answers there.
Boss SLS Pune is better than lower tiered NLU's yall are basically pvt law royalty
Is Mihir Naniwadekar active these days though? Also does be practice in international taxation? Have read great things about him in the sub.
The manner in which posts are being responded to on this page, it seems like Mishraji has deputed one staff full time for image management
Can someone confirm how long after the interview you are informed of the result? Are you even informed in case of a rejection?
How to get in their team for an internship ? As, I have got no reply from the HR route.
20 days in June, around 7 to 10 days at the end of December. A week during Dussehra and Holi. A smaller one depending on the holidays of Janmashtami, Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan and the nearby weekend.
Read. Read as much as you can. Ideally, books, research papers from good sources. If not, articles, etc., from reputable sources. Read everything.
Haven’t worked there but have interned - law offices of Rony Oommen John. Chamber-like setting. I worked on a lot of white collar matters there and attended a few hearings too. Don’t know about the pay for freshers but from what I saw it did look like the team is well-paid.
At NLSIU about one third of the student body lives in these off campus residences. LLB and LLM students prefer these as it gives more autonomy than campus hostels.
tera sabun slow hai kya? (The move has already been publicly announced)
Has anyone taken the CAM assessment for an Associate role? What types of questions should I expect?
Bump. And please tell awards which actually show the client and legal circle that you are worth something and increase your reputation
if u had paid attention during your lectures, you wouldn't have paid for the subscription in the first place no
That is sad. People his batch had to really pull their weight to become EP.
Do they let you know a couple of days in advance before scheduling the interview? My friend was informed a day prior to her interview?
Me too. My firm is a Tier 2 law firm, and they're paying peanuts. I chose this job just to get into practice and thought I'd be able to sustain myself, as there were no other options. I'm literally living on the bare minimum.
There is so much animosity. How are these people working together if they hate each other so much. Good case study but not worth the mental trauma and bitterness.
no not ours - we came even when there was a red alert. Brownie points if you can guess which firm
May be- our firm has asked us to to prepare AI prompts for due diligence and transaction documents
Exactly. Great if these partners are moving out of CAM, this thread will not impact CAM's image anymore. I hope they learn.
I doubt even the senior partners who hold equity make 60
Ruby Singh - Karanjawala

Niti Dixit - S&R Manmeet Singh / Amita Gupta Katragadda / Soumya Dasgupta - CAM

VPS - AZB

Shankh / Tine - Trilegal
I heard KVR has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of NLUO. NALSAR folks, how is she?
her team has quite a high attrition rate, as most people leave or have been asked to leave during probation itself. plus the SAs in her team i've heard are difficult to work with; no room for growth.
A couple of week long vacations atleast (usually during court summer and winter vacations) plus a couple of 3-4 day trips.
Are there genuine Awards or recognitions one can earn as a corporate lawyer.

By genuine I mean not rigged by money.

And on another note, are there awards which clients and others in the legal circle recognize as the mark of your competence
how long till you get promoted from associate to senior associate. is it basis work or experience and whats the pay scale upgrade each year
The pay is around 35k–40k, and the workload is quite heavy. If you compare the effort you're expected to put in with the compensation, it's quite low from a monetary perspective. They used to pay around ₹50k earlier, but that's just what I've heard from several people.
Please help. I'm in a similar situation and want to switch because the pay is not sustainable for me. I really want to make a move.
This thread I think is the longest thread on LI and the vibe is really bad. Why are people wasting time here, care about your career and move forward.
I am from a tier 1 NLU as well, and yes, "brats" is the correct terminology for these people. cmon, look around you!
what? so you aren't even making 14 lakhs in a year? that's so scammy when they claim a pay scale of 25 lakhs. Also, why is the bonus paid after 1.5 years? shouldnt it be yearly?
If since long they haven’t reverted it back, does it mean rejection ? or do they communicate next day if you are getting the offer?
Can the moderation be slightly faster and not once in a day pleasee?
I heard that Saumya Kakkar is moving to S&R and is taking her entire team along. Is this true and is she looking to hire? I am very keen to work under her guidance. I have heard that she is an excellent mentor. Any inputs would be appreciated.
because feminism as a whole is being targeted in the guise of a single case. because 100s of cases like this happening daily to women are just accepted as "the norm" and a single case is being brought up to target women as a whole.
Saw that they hired 40 freshers this year but it appears all the experienced lawyers have exited and they have not hired anyone at a senior level. What is ND's game plan?
Only one way to find out. Don't come back whining when you get fired. Body piercings... Seriously .. as if tattoos and crazy hairdos weren't enough... Seriously do you guys even think before asking such imbecilic questions?
Meanwhile our partner takes the whole team for amazing lunches every other Friday. Raho tum chindi land mein.
You should be grateful that you get to carry the visiting card of such a big firm.
What's hilarious is he's saying it to Sidhartha Dave, who easily has 20+ matters on Mondays and Fridays. I've seen his causelists, they run into three pages.
Good luck battling crazy summers! Speak to people who’ve done this - eg Sudhiti Surana, Vaibhavi Tadwalkar etc
