Just open r/professors on reddit. You'll see many issues plaguing US universities, primarily a lack of reading skills being the most fundamental one.
If I have an R in a B.A. subject in my 2nd year am I done for?
She doesn't care. Corporate placements depend on established contacts and alumni presence not the whims of a VC. I used to be a student at NALSAR when she was a professor - then a registrar. Decent, strict person
that's very risky. I would never do a phd in which there's no option to choose a supervisor.
do they tell you if you are rejected? i heard they only tell if you are getting an invite?
Hey, can an early switch to dispute resolution be made? Also, could anyone let me know how to address this in the cover letter when applying to other law firms?
Yes, A0. 45 days for the whole process (1st round, 2nd round and offer)
can someone who has actually worked under a Sr advocate tell their actual fee chart - please do not copy paste from random websites or news pages. Also, if possible then please tell the most recent fee chart.
Abir patel, Tushar kadam, Anil dsouza, Harshad Bhadbhade, Nimay Dave, Chirag Kamdar, Dimple Agarwal, Parimal Wagh (author), Paresh M. Modi (Ahmedabad), Vikram Singh (Chandigarh)
These T1 law firms are known for their "Corporate" like enviornment.

How does one break in to their litigation teams ? As far as I know, freshers aren't hired for litigation.
How does the litigation team for tax and other areas work ? What is the pay ?
I am wanting to understand how one can switch from capital markets to M&A/ GC (Advisory) in the early years of career keeping in mind how the job market is bad
There are 6 slots for India Internship - around 35 make it to the AC - you can work backwards from there.
We rarely got help from the college in getting decent internships or PPOs. Its only on the basis of the alum network looking out for each other that we've been growing.
You'll find something in 15 but it wont be cheap. Other relatively closer places include 93, 104, 45.

50, 62, 78 are other options to consider if you're fine with travelling half an hour.
Lol o am from Symbi and I don’t think this is true. But hey thanks for the complement
Law firms treating associates like slaves and using the grey area very well! Please cite and call out all unfair practices you have observed and know that exist.
go to any country (I presume a non-GCC high income) and become a registered immigration agent - a lot of paisa, initial investment around 1 crore INR (for space and advert)
You think recruiters will check legally India and belief this as the figures even if these are true?
You'll realize it when you become AP. Till SA2 (A3 of T1s) the pay is competitive. But post that the hike is very very minimal and I don't think even the Partners make 60
The key word is 'when'. Yes, when that happens, then it will be useful. Until then, perhaps not as much. But 'when' is so important because it doesn't look like they will come under current circs.
Well he was politely asked to leave many times. But he is just non-chalant.
look for a cubicle in the tower itself, there is no need to go back after work cause there is no life outside work. - your LALA boss
Everyone in these big 3 is smart enough to know that disclosing their placement figures on a public platform is axing themselves in the leg (barring a few ▮▮▮ over-enthusiastic exceptions, who are not yet placed themselves)
Has partner’s pay increased in 2026? If yes, how much do partners earn at different PQEs.
Guys, pls name and shame, dont drop hints about the firms
Do tell. Whats going on? Big moves? Foreign Law Firm? Merger? Split?
I just think that always mentioning nlsiu is a futile activity ( i am an nls alum too), because it's the oldest nlu and ofc it's alum will be the first for everything (and if that's not the case then the college has failed to serve it's purpose).
Unlike international universities, in india we cannot choose our supervisors. So it's your luck.
We need more and more researchers, but we need better and better teachers as well. Please do not encourage unenthusiastic professors.
Future researcher and phd are two different things. First find out the difference and then comment
Ruby Singh Ahuja, Mahesh Agarwal, VP Singh, Ajay Bhargava, Pooja Mahajan, NPS Chawla, Dheeraj Nair etc.

Handful names with billings.

Performance and work culture may differ. Not commenting. Purely big rainmakers.
CLC and GLC are pillars of Indian Litigation system.

Handful NLU alumni bragging one IAS, one judge, 10-15 gowns is too overrated.
Wrong. Most top lawyers get briefs proportional to the amount of single malt they drink. I have heard that Justice Verma demitted as his compound contained contraband in the form of Royal Stag bottles, not cash as the news articles so suggest.
Is it useful for a law firm associate when foreign law firms come to india
Adnan has just joined; he was amazing to almost every intern during his time at Tri. Maybe try mailing him
Outside of an LLM and an MBA what's a realistic career path? For anyone not particularly attached to law but wants to get out?
Indecisive fellow. ▮▮▮ universities since 1999. When will he be asked to leave NLU N? Any idea?
Linklaters typically takes 6-8 weeks to review all applications for the India internship program. No need to worry. Any AC updates will not come before late July- early August, apparently.
Guys it has been weeks now and still no response neither no rejections. Can't they just respond and say no?
Nah.. can't grace them with my pearls of wisdom just yet. They r gonna have to wait.
Hi. I'm a litigator with 2 years of experience. Planning to switch to a law firm for similar reasons, such as better pay. Please suggest any good tier 1/2 law firms specialising in IP & Commercial litigation with a good pay scale.
Why is there such little info about this school? No one shares their experiences at all.. even though there are several conversations happening about JGLS on this platform. Why the silence on BITS?
sounds like you did not land a PPO buddy and so you resort to dragging down those who did?
NALSAR folks- is she in favour of corporate placements or not? Nluo never got placements/ interns because admin never supported. They were pro litigation. What about her?
now a days if you throw a stone at delhi high court there are 100% chances that it might hit a senior now a days in DHc every other guys is wearing a senior gown
Need reviews. Planning to apply in the team

Work culture, quality of work, work hours, etc
If there's no work then why Counsels and SAs from Bombay office reach out to interns from different offices/practice area for assistance.
Hello, I am looking for female roommates with offices in and around Okhla. Please dm. Urgent.
ILO Delhi is a great place to work at. Everyone is very friendly and the culture is fine.
They make you work on these old ass desktops which dont work half the time.
Taking unannounced leaves is very frowned upon. But good place to grow , dont know abt asses interns.
What are you smoking? A0s are getting 17 LPA (14 + 3) and A1s are getting (16 + 4) = 20LPA. AP is 6PQE. They earn atleast 60 LPA. Atleast my AP is earning around 45 fixed + 15 bonus.
Mumbai- Live in fear.

Bangalore- Fear is not an option.

Delhi- What is fear?

Hi, wanted to see if ITC (specially for laterals), offers the same/similar compensation as it does for campus hires, and if not, what is variance?
I'm joining cam mumbai this year, and was wondering what exactly happens at the induction. Is it j an excuse to party? Also, how do the first few months go? Anything I should be prepared with?
How is the work and work culture in Vinati Kastia's team at AZB, Noida?
Mail or call the HR.

I finished my internship last week and got the callback intimation like 2-3 days ago
malak bhatt pays really well...40,000 from what I gather. also Abhinav Mishra pays decently (decent = 35l), but the work is as intense
Well most of them have a 15-20+ years of practice.

Litigation is really for those who can tolerate long-long-long years of uncertainty. I mean hats off to all who dedicate such time.
Do inhouse counsel get to travel / work around the country/abroad?
Thats because a sly remark against some random SA can actually affect their life and livelihood. The same is not the case with a respectable retired HC Judge.
Try disputes teams. Use your contacts from your T1 NLU and find out the disputes partners who are hiring and reach out to them directly. Headhunters/HRs won't help.

More than half of them (45-50) from CLC/ DU, rest is mix bag, can see someone from Oxford, someone from ILS Pune and CCS Meerut, few from NLUs too.

Congratulations to all.
How is it partisan to uphold the Constitution? It may be unusual, but partisan it is not.
Reliance, Wipro and TCS do have internal legal awards. Not sure about others.

External. Awards are mostly paid.
Whats happening in Noida? Word is that some Berger folks are moving on. Something to do with people reneging on promises.
The person (HR) who used to take care of internships there has left the firm. There will be delay due to change management.
This used to be one of the best paymasters back in the day. 15-20 years ago. Wonder how it pays now.
