Get a thinkpad t480, refurb ones go for like 20-22k and it's the best cheap laptop for college (assuming you only wanna use it for research, drafting and the like) dont go for older ones as theyre dual cores only, whilst this has 4 cores which is more than enough for this stuff. Also make sure youre getting the 1080p IPS model and not the TN panel one.

I don't have much on my CV that corresponds to the subject, just a tiny amount of exposure from previous internships + a random college event. How do I go about this? Publications to impress T1s, or a CCI Internship? Any advice would be helpful.

GNLU ko kyu toda bhai, I'm a fresh passout, gay as can be. Nobody did anything to me or my other friends. Gujarat as a whole is not very progressive on these fronts so we weren't big on Pride etc., but the student and even the admin body was mostly supportive and non-discriminatory. Maybe the bar is in hell but we had a small and friendly community, no incidents of bullying and even the RW oriented folks never got up in our business. It may be better in terms at other T1s in terms of having more events etc., but GNLU is by and large queer friendly.

Important to put this out there because kids writing the CLAT might take your comment the wrong way and avoid the uni out of misguided fear.

I regret very bad doing law, i should have studied any other.... court procedures are very complex like that British established.... and seniors or anyone no one teach nothing.., 1st gen lawyer wondering here and there....but still some say lawyers make more money but that's only after 40 and above... what life energy will be there then to enjoy.🙆🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽

Considering that nobody else including teachers more strict than Sudhir ever had to face anything like it, I really don't think so. Just as I think that you're the same guy who has been deliberately pushing that narrative of it being a concerted and diabolical attempt to harm him. If degree of harm is to be compared, then Sudhir has done worse to many students including many of the PhD candidates at NLSIU.

the army law institute in Mohali is a tier 2 law school at best or tier 3 at worst with its emphasis over in house placements and jag or other defence entries. that is the only institute i can recommend. alc pune it's newer sister college is more like a t10 law college without any alumni base, faculty, placements. better to save the fees and study from college goverment college.

some people confuse alc and ail and come to Pune thinking they are the same thing but the Mohali one has been in the education for over 25 years, older than most NLUs ... the pune one (alc) I can tell myself being from Pune is a place most people have never heard of.

As a graduate from the 2024 batch, let me tell you for your own sake, the best thing to do here is just get through law school, get your degree and focus on your personal growth through internships and eventually get the right job. MNLU is beyond saving. Trust me, we've tried.

No you don’t have to at all. I work at T1 law firm and I have never ever mooted nor has anyone from our team has participated in any of those decorated moots.

Also, just apply your mind to it. How can a college deny you a degree based on your moot experience. Rather than asking people here you should go and ask at your college the basis of such a rule.

Have you ever thought that the anonymity model may be past its prime? Perhaps if people were forced to use their real identities (or, at the very least, if setting up an anon alt was made harder), many might comment more responsibly.

I just think that, in recent years, a lot of people have been getting far too angry about very trivial things where earlier, this wouldn't have happened. In such a charged atmosphere, this high level of anonymity is fuel on the fire.

I was in your place a few years ago, but didn’t want to take the risk of a policy job over a Tier 1 law firm job. Ended up in general corporate but not TMT work. Back then, TMT was limited to telecom and some net neutrality, data protection consulting work. Everyone herds you to general corporate because it’s safe.

Ended up in the US years later and realized privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, AI, crypto, cloud etc. have really good employment prospects if you have the domain knowledge, both in law firms and companies. General corporate is the practice many find themselves stuck in because they had no other interests to specialize in.

My 2 cents: if you’re passionate about TMT and can bear not to start at 15 LPA, take 1-2 years to work at places which will help you lateral into TMT. Or, work in general corporate at a firm and then lateral into a TMT team. Either way, no harm reaching out to TMT associates and partners so they know you are interested and looking for an opportunity.

I do not. Happy? Because I am not yet even a fully-qualified academic!

At the same time, I do not go about randomly misusing my anonymity to engage in trolling of people who are smarter than me. You are a University of North Bengal (I use University of North Bengal as a soft target/paradigmatic example of a TLC) guy who has inferiority complexes about Oxford, just admit it and reconcile yourself to the fact that the days for your kind in Indian legal academia are likely to be numbered, because of people like Sudhir.

Lol, Sudhir did not actually fail any unusual number of people at NUJS. Speaking as someone who has been taught by him there. He wasn't anything great as a teacher, but he was also young back then, though made a professor. I am sure that he has improved a lot with experience, most teachers do. He was not a likable person at all though, but he did not need to be either.

P&B is quite well known since their primary practice is WCC and they pay well+have good matters. Other big names like Tri, SAM and KCO too have great teams.

At P&B the pay is 12LPA from what I have heard. Although they are stringent with internships- mind telling us how you landed one?
