Exclusive: Nalsar Hyderabad earned 20 points in the Mooting Premier League after a thumping win against NLSIU Bangalore in an exciting finish to the first Bar Council of India International Law Moot Court Competition.

Last year’s champion Nalsar is now four MPL points behind NUJS Kolkata, which was defeated by Nalsar in the semifinals.

NUJS Kolkata reached the semifinals and won the best speaker award as the Indian representative at the Commonwealth Moot to pull in 12 crucial points from the Tier 4 National Challenger moot, overtaking NLU Delhi at the top of the MPL 2 standings by four points.

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has finally announced the much-awaited schedule of this year’s edition of its moot court competition, which will be an international moot for the first time.

Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad has launched its first national moot court competition, the ILNU National Moot Court Competition. The event is scheduled to be held on 26th and 27th March, 2011.

NUJS Kolkata won the Oxford International Media Law Moot - India Competition after defeating NLSIU Bangalore in the finals, taking both colleges to third and fourth in the Mooting Premier League second season.

NUJS Kolkata won the India Rounds and the best memorandum award at 12th Commonwealth Moot Court Competition, scoring 15 MPL points and a ticket to the international rounds of the Commonwealth Moot next year.
