The website of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), which Legally India reported yesterday to have been granted a budget of Rs 6 crore ($1.1m) this year, has been targeted by a hacker, who has left a warning to the site warning of IT security.
The hacker inserted the following text on the tribunal’s Contact Us page:
HACKED BY RIFALDI238
Sorry admin, I not evil , i just warned..
Your security is low !! patch your site !!
A Google search suggests that RIFALDI238 is the handle of an Indonesian hacker.
At the time of going to press, the administrator of the NGT’s website did not respond to an email seeking comment about the hack.
One lawyer commented by SMS: “Totally problem with websites of Govt… Mainly they tender with the cheapest and… vending companies employ Java sites with no PHP and firewalls.” [edited]
In April 2012 the Delhi High Court Bar Association site was defaced by Paksitani hackers.
