NLU Delhi has won the prestigious international Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition, held by the International Institute of Space Law virtually on 23 October 2020, according to an email from the moot organisers we have seen.
The team consisted of fifth-year Anmol Dhawan (who is also NLU Delhi moot court committee convenor), fourth-year Abhishek Jain and third-year Shubh Arora.
Jain and Arora conducted the oral pleadings in the final.
The final against a team from University of Vienna, Austria, was presided over by a bench of judges Peter Tomka, judge Joan Donoghue and judge Kirill Gevorgian of the International Court of Justice.
Vienna picked up the awards for best memorials and best oralist (Hristina Talkova).
The NLU Delhi team had defeated Georgetown University, USA in the semi-final.
NLU Delhi had last won the Lachs in 2014, while NLSIU Bangalore had brought the trophy back to India in 2017, for the third time (after 2012 and 2009).

Just be happy for the winners and take your whining elsewhere.
NLUD definitely wins the contest when it comes to misplaced sense of self-worth & propaganda
Good to see a team from India win this moot yet again. Well done boys!
Well done, peeps.
And to actually have won both the Vises
NLUD present: Big 2 status by 2020 as also confirmed by NIRF
NLUD future: Big 1 by 2030.
- Rank 4 (chose MNLU)
- Rank 6 (chose NUJS)
- Rank 40 (chose NALSAR)
- Rank 43 (chose NUJS)
- Rank 61 (chose NALSAR)
- Rank 69 (either chose NLUD or another stream)
- Rank 82 (chose NALSAR)
- Rank 84 (chose NALSAR)
- Rank 93 (chose NALSAR)
Thus, 5 chose NALSAR, 2 chose NUJS, 1 chose MNLU, 1 chose NLUD (TBC)
Meanwhile, coaching centre courses saying very few AILET rankers made it to top NLUs. Same for JGLS LSAT. Sources also saying no one is ditching NLUs for JGLS, except maybe for the bottom 5 ones.

NUJS' reputation is quite resilient for some random troll on Twitter.
