NLSIU Bangalore won the third Rizvi Law College National Moot Court Competition, beating Army Institute of Law Mohali in the finals.

Army Institute Mohali also bagged the Best Memorandum Award and moved into joint fourth place in the MPL 2 standings, having won a total of 10 points in the Tier 5 Rizvi competition.

Teams from NLIU Bhopal and Law Centre I (LC-I) Delhi University were the semi-finalists and picked up three points each.

Saurabh Rath from RGNUL Patiala won the Best Speaker Award.

The moot saw participation from 24 colleges said Rizvi Law College’s moot court committee vice-president Mutahaar Khan.

He added that the standard of the moot had substantially increased from last year and the college looked forward to make it an international event next year.

NLIU Bhopal’s semi-final position takes the school to an early 13-point lead with 33 points in the MPL 2 season standings over HNLU Raipur and SOEL Chennai in second place, which maintain their joint second standing with 20 points each.

Earlier this week, ILS Pune won over SOEL Chennai in the Surana Trial Advocacy South rounds.
