Nalsarites get swine flu all-clear

Nalsar Hyderabad has resumed its regular timetable after medical tests of all students on campus over the last two days resulted in no positive diagnoses of swine flu.

Nalsar vice chancellor Faizan Mustafa said that tests were carried out because on a mere physical medical examination it was not possible to differentiate between swine flu and the common flue. “It’s all clear. Classes are in full swing. We were over cautious as situation in the city is not encouraging,” he added.

Nalsar Hyderabad students were being tested for the swine influenza virus at the city’s Gandhi Medical College and Hospital after one student at the law school was believed to have tested positive for the deadly virus, Legally India had reported.

The first year student from Bangalore whose preliminary report had indicated the flu, was finally only diagnosed with the common viral flu, rather than swine flu.
