IndusLaw has hired RDA Legal Bangalore partner Avik Biswas as a partner in its Bangalore office with his team of associates Shrutika Umarji, N Guruprasad, Jaya Shruthi and Amrutha Bhat.

Biswas graduated from NUJS Kolkata in 2006, began his career at New Delhi Law Offices, moved to Infosys Technologies in 2007, and Poovayya & Co in 2012 before joining Rohit Das & Associates, as it was then called, in 2013.

IndusLaw Bangalore partner Kartik Ganapathy said in a press release: “Avik and his team bring complementary skills that will greatly expand the firm’s engagement in the growing spaces of technology and employment law.”

Biwas’ hire follows Indus poaching two partners from HSA Advocates - Navin Syiem and Avirup Nag - earlier this month.
