Link Legal India Law Services (LLILS) has boosted its corporate strength in Delhi with the addition of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) counsel Namita Das.
She is joining with a team of two fee-earners, who have around two years of post-qualification experience (PQE) each and have before been working in private practice and in-house before.
Das is a 2009 NLU Jodhpur graduate who had worked at Link Legal in Delhi before joining AZB & Partners in 2014 in Noida.

Goes to show how good training to smart and young Indian lawyers can produce world class talent. Its a pity that Indian markets did not liberalise. This just deprived young Indian lawyers this high quality of work training.
The existing Indian firms only ended up promoting a very few hard working and smart people. Rest of them were either plain lucky or simply thrived on good connections with the owner families.
Unfortunately, Indian law firms till very recently had a very closed mind on hiring such people looking to move from an LPO and more often than not heavily discount the PQE while hiring such people. Fortunately, this picture is changing since the last few years and firms appear to be more open to try out LPO bred lawyers.
It is true that such lawyers may not have had the relevant Indian law experience but they can bring across a lot of other qualities and there is no reason why they would not be able to pick up Indian stuff as it's not rocket science.
Am sure in less then a year they will know how LL works.
Let's see how many joining them now survive even 2 years there.
