Link Legal India Law Services has snapped up two partners from HSA Advocates.
As we had reported on 22 January, associate partner Aditya K Singh had resigned from the firm, and had been expected to start an independent practice.
But the 2009 HNLU Raipur grad is now joining Link Legal in Delhi in its electricity regulatory practice, according to a press release from the firm.
Also joining Link Legal from HSA but in Bangalore is corporate partner Gaurav Sahay, a 2006 Delhi University LLB graduate.
Singh had been promoted to associate partner at HSA a year ago, while Sahay had joined from Kochhar & Co in 2019 to re-build HSA’s then-recently-decimated Bangalore office.
According to Link Legal managing partner Atul Sharma and co-managing partner Nusrat Hassan, Singh had “a very good reputation in his area of practice and his joining will add to the capability of the firm in supporting its power sector clients by providing wholistic project advice”.
Sahay would “add strength to the firm’s Bengaluru operations as well as to the corporate practice”, they said in a statement.
HSA managing partner Hemant Sahai commented: “I wish them all the best in their future endeavours and I am sure they will benefit from the experience they have gained from us.”
The firm had seen a steady trickle of exits (as well as hires) in the past months.
Along with Singh, senior partner Apoorva Misra had also left for independent practice.
Other exits include infrastructure partner Akshay Malhotra moving to Khaitan & Co.
HSA has hired Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas corporate partner Saurya Bhattacharya and independent lawyer Sumit P in Delhi.

You don't know what you are getting into ... best of luck
Keep buying GME stock, DO NOT SELL.

Don't be an idiot (or to use the WSB terms, "retard" / "autist") and get involved in buying useless stock (priced in USD at that) which will bite you in the arse.
Idk do associates get fired?
P.S. as a A0, I'd suggest that you do not execute work 'your own way'. Nothing personal, but probably your own way is not something the client/industry expects.
Pretty sure every partner/senior advocate is just an idiotic A0 who just never quit and learnt from each of their mistakes.
All the best and welcome to the profession.
P.S. WFH or office dosent make any difference on stress levels. If anything, now you don't atleast get yelled at in front of everyone or in unfamiliar surroundings.
P.P.S. Mr. Please yaar, it is very easy to trivialise and mock psychological concerns hiding behind anonymity. Im sure that on the face of it you are one of those woke people who tweet RIP SSR on their own social handles but do jack **** when it comes to actually helping out people. Kian, if you do take comments seriously, I believe that the virtue of anonymity should be used constructively to help each other out. So yes, you should create a sub-topic where such things can be discussed.
Jan hit main jaari.
My advice, consider work like God. If the chaddis can treat a bummer like God, your own job is supreme, never undermine it's importance.
