Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) Delhi partners Kirat Singh Nagra and Rishi Anand have resigned from the firm last week, according to authoritative sources.
Both Nagra and Anand had stints with the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas and had moved on to other firms before making their way to CAM in 2015.
Nagra had left Amarchand after 11 years in 2013 to join Economic Laws Practice (ELP) Delhi as partner.
A Symbiosis Pune 2007 alumnus Anand had left Amarchand Delhi in 2012 to start up Gnarus Partners.
Nagra and Anand declined to comment.
CAM managing partner Cyril Shroff commented: “They will be serving their three month notice and moving on. We wish them well in their future.”

Just my thoughts.
Lack of capability hamare swabhaav mein hain
Anyways good luck to the Shroffs, Anand(s), Mr. Nagra and the minions who moved with their bosses (heard that some good promotions were applied to sweeten the deal for these kids- if that is true then good on part of their Partners to have looked out for their team members).
The CAM Delhi office has been riddled with its niggling problems since day one... like every new enterprise. But people need to realize that there are some good people there who are doing good work. No doubt that a whip is cracked sometimes but that is necessary to keep the focus and objectivity clear (i know of one such firm where the MP cracks the whip on a daily basis). The cantankerous and egoistic partners will never like this and neither will the ones who are just used to a free ride. The ones that are actually focused on doing good work for their clients will always keep that focus clear no matter what and THOSE are the people who need to be nurtured by the management- if they want the firm to prosper.
To the ones that left- God Speed. To the ones that stay - Good luck and may you prosper.
Wise advise, let's not procastinate and chant 'harm om' to seek inner peace and nirvana rather than being a part of comments race by ourselves (which we ourselves don't like it in the first place). Just a food for thought - isn't this how the exits should actually be, anything other than noisy, nasty and giving a feel of negativity???

What do you mean by free ride? Isn't the MP in point 3 herein is himself cantankerous and egoistic?

Instead of wasting time on such "petty" analysis of these two and their brilliant teams, do consider using this time more wisely, focus on your practice, so that one day you also become a "heavy hitter" in the industry, and if and when you get a better role than your current one and are able to negotiate a "sweeter deal" for your team (should they be willing to consider you worthy enough to stick around), and such an article gets published, at least we all now know that the "negative comments" would be least of Kian's worries as it would only be an ego massage for you - as per your analysis, "heavy hitters" are the ones that attract 100s of negative comments. IMHO, attracting 100s of negative comments only proves that one is an extremely controversial figure.
It is because of people like you that most in the legal circle are fed-up with the negativity in office corridors. Even the younger lawyers are uninspired by the law firm culture as thanks to over exposure to people like you, some grow up to become insensitive, jealous and supremely sadist beings. Their juniors end up like them. The cycle continues. Since people like you only feed off on negativity, instead of applauding the fact that this article hadn't attracted much negativity, you find it fishy! Perhaps, your world is only different - it's like we are on the same bike, the same red light, but to most of us it looks like a red light, to you it looks like 'shiny disco balls'!!
Dear friend, the pie is infinite, you don't need to step on toes to rise up the ladder. Give your colleagues respect and treat junior lawyers well - calling them "minions" is disrespectful and if you don't learn soon, be sure there won't be any team standing by your side. Focus on work so you won't need to give such indirect hints ("THOSE are the people who need to be nurtured by the management") to your management. I have worked with both partners and some team members - they are a very dedicated, intelligent and hardworking team. Continue doing a great job. Best of luck!
