The firm has also made up two new salaried partners - Nilanjana Singh and Nandish Vyas - in Mumbai, as first reported by Legally India in April.
AZB Delhi managing partner Ajay Bahl confirmed that the five promotions were internally announced at the firm last week.
Govind had joined AZB in January 2011 from Amarchand Mangaldas, where she had worked for four years after nearly three years at Dua Associates. She is a 2003 graduate from Delhi University.
Rathi had joined AZB in 2004 after graduating from Delhi University.
Rachit Bahl is a graduate of Amity Law School and had joined AZB in 2007 from UK law firm Rouse & Co in Dubai, according to legal website Bar & Bench which first reported the Delhi promotions.

Also, in journalism, a lot of times credit goes to the person who broke the story first. IN this case it was Bar and Bench..and thats been happening for a while in other stories also. I like LI better than BB, and as a devoted reader, I just thought LI could do with more staff, which I am sure Kian will agree to subject to resources. And hence the best wishes for more success - read that as revenues! How does that take away from LI or Kian one bit??

In journalism you get some stories, others you don't (where we don't we generally give credit to the place where first published, if appropriate). However, I still think that we manage to scoop the vast majority of law firm news so I hoped having a few days off without a mobile phone wouldn't be too terrible (though it did cause us to miss this particular one). In any case, I think Prachi held up the fort very well in my brief absence.
A larger LI team would obviously be great for everyone involved, subject to revenues and growing those sustainably without sacrificing independence, etc. We'll keep you posted and fingers crossed.
