Dhruv Singhal, who had in August left AZB & Partners, after having moved there in 2016 from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, has re-joined the latter.
The 2007 NLSIU Bangalore graduate has joined in the CAM general corporate practice in Mumbai.
In an internal announcement, CAM managing partner Cyril Shroff said: “I am pleased Dhruv finally saw the light and returned home where he belongs. He will add value to the firm.”
He had first joined Amarchand Mangaldas, as it then was, in 2007, and had moved to AZB with senior partner Ashwath Rau in 2016.
AZB Mumbai managing partner Zia Mody said she wished him well back in August, with Rau adding: “He’s a good guy and I wish him all the best and hope he succeeds wherever he goes. It’s been a five year journey [with Singhal] and I hope it all works out for him.”
Update 01:02: In the press release Singhal commented: “Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co had contributed immensely in my professional growth in the past. I am very excited to return home and once again looking forward to work along with my seniors and peers.”

Seriously? Despite their position, some of these senior law firm partners have the maturity of politicians or petulant teenagers.
Zia Mody's statement was much more graceful.
