SAM IP practice sees more churn: 2012-partner Nitin Masilamani leaves to start up own firm

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas IP partner Nitin Masilamani has left the firm, and according to Bar & Bench, started up his own IP firm.

We understand authoritatively that Masilamani has left but have not been able to reach him for comment.

Delhi managing partner Pallavi Shroff told Bar & Bench that “we wish him all the best”.

Masilamani was promoted to partner in 2012, having joined the firm in 2002 from NLSIU Bangalore.

Shardul Amarchand’s IP practice - headed by equity partner Dev Robinson - has seen some churn in the past 18 months, with partner Ranjan Negi leaving with his team for Cyril Amarchand in May 2015.

In May 2016, Shardul Amarchand then hired Phoenix’s IP head Mukul Baveja as a salaried partner in Mumbai.
