Luthra & Luthra and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom have advised US research company Forrester Research on its acquisition of Knowledge Platform-owned Springboard Research.

Luthra & Luthra partner Shweta Hingorani was assisted by managing associate Suyash Srivastava, senior associate Vaibhav Kakkar and associate Ashish Pareek in leading for Forrester Research.

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom was drafted in as international legal counsels with Singapore-based corporate laws partner Rajeev P Duggal in charge on the buyer side.

The transaction involves the buy-out of Knowledge Platform’s business market research and advisory businesses worldwide and strengthens Forrester group’s hold in the Asia-Pacific markets.

It was a slump sale in certain jurisdictions and share sale in others of one division of the business of the seller on a going concern basis, according to one of the law firms.

The legal work undertaken included due diligence of the India related target assets of the seller, documentation, approvals and filings of transaction documents and rendering of regulatory advise under foreign exchange and employment laws.
