Kochhar Singapore partner and office head Jayne Kuriakose and Delhi partner Janmejay Rai led the legal team for Bloomberg.
Kochhar had been advising Bloomberg on its business interests in India for the last three to four years.
US firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher is Bloomberg's main international adviser but did not have major involvement in this transaction.
AZB Mumbai partner Shuva Mandal and senior associate Kartick Maheshwari advised UTV Software Communications.
The deal between Bloomberg and UTV will see the companies re-brand UTV's business news channel UTVi to Bloomberg-UTV.
The companies will share content under an agreement that took months of negotiations to finalise.
The deal was announced last week.
