There's no need for preferential treatment. All of them can be accommodated even without any religious discrimination.
I've been told that NLS tag helps to secure jobs. Maybe, but I haven't got an offer from even tier 5 law schools where I've applied while pursuing PhD. So, I don't know what works and what doesn't.
Why, so we can protect Your Reverence's backside? No thanks, you can do that yourself. Now please go away!
That really depends on where you are looking at. Any chance you could clarify as to country (or countries) or university (or universities) that you are aiming at?
foreign firms are the best which is why kids at top nlus are behind vacation schemes or looking at the possibility of switching laterally
fym sucks? the firm is a dying one which doesn't pay well at senior levels and stagnates growth.
It is confirmed that Anirban- ex partner at CAM Blr has left the firm. Where is he heading to?
How is JSA Gurgaon to work at? In Capital Market and Projects team?
The attack was completely unprovoked.

The issue is that laws do not allow us to cull these monkeys. DMC has tried ways to scare them off but the monkeys get used to each method after a month or so.
Hi am a student of class 9, I want to pursue Lawyer as my career...so, what shall I do?
3L just sent out the internship certificates for the july interns. When do they usually send out call backs after this? and has anyone received it who interned this july?
Trilegal just sent out the certificates for the July interns. When do they usually send out call backs after this? and has anyone got it?
What other countries of south Asia? Pak, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh...lol
Hi, I just got an acceptance mail for my internship application at DIAC. Does anyone of you know the salary and their timings?
What about AZB Bangalore? How's the PPO scene there? And also how many interns are there every month? Any idea?
Hi, have things improved at P&A in terms of culture? Have the previously toxic partners become better human beings?
3 international 2 indian moots, 12 publications 5th year, no job, had avg grades, T2 NLU
my bad lol. they broke the door because they feared he might s word himself, atleast that is what they told his parents. Anyways admin was definitely at fault there, couldn't even handle such a basic situation and allowed it to escalate.
When Kapil Sharma left, he was the most favourite faculty of NLUO. Students literally gathered outside BH to give him farewell. Don't compare riches with rags.
No no. You are mixing two different stories. You remember someone from our batch jumped over the gate and ran out of the college? I am talking about that. The story you are referring to is completely different.
if you have a decent CV just go on the website and apply, if you don’t then have someone you know who knows people in the legal field pull a favour for you
Hey, I am thinking of pursuing LLM next year. If anyone is thinking to do the same, let's connect to help each other with the admission process. Thanks in advance.
You can lateral abroad or across firms. So many partners recently laterally moved recently what r u on?
Yes that's the point is it not? Partners are supposed to bring in business and contribute to firm profits, thats the same across industries. Atleast you dont need an MBA to break it through?
I am the one who wrote above question. And it gave me laughter after reading, I didn't took it in a trollish way.

Mods, please remove it from trollish. I hope spreading positivity at legally india, where everyone is depressed, is not trolling.
sucks to be you lol - get better. They even handed out 2 PPOs to NLUD and 3 to NLS students (1 LLB also lmao)
Begur & Partners. They only accept those in the top 5 of their class, with excellence in moots and strong research publications. Their interview is notoriously known as one of the toughest to crack in the industry.
Have you spoken to your partner? How does he feel about the place? Do you trust his judgment?
Yes, if it is a public consultation.

No, it doesn't add to the CV. Some things you do for interest/learning and not CV building.
I am thinking of interning in Vertices Partners, Bangalore. Can anyone tell me how is the work culture there and what's their pay?
Spice Route Legal | I have a call back offer from Spice Route Legal at their Bangalore office. Could someone please tell me whether they are hiring and what are the chances of converting the call back into a PPO? Moreover, do they pay the same as Tier - 1’s?
Bombay any day, Trilegal SAM CAM Khaitan S&R all these hire more at Bombay offices
Nishith Desai Associates

Touchstone Partners

TT&A (used to be tough but not now)
KCO is big today because of lateral hirings. KCO's growth is commendable but inorganic.
Rml is well connected to the city. The dude's saying his campus is in the middle of nowhere. I think NLUO perfectly fits the description
Yea thats a HNLU specific thing, like NLUO for Indus and NUJS for TTA. Im from NALSAR, no-one got an offer this year.
Don't know if this is a dumb question but are law students eligible to submit public comments for discussion papers/ draft frameworks in their individual capacity, with no affiliation to a law firm or other stakeholders? If yes, does it add any value to your CV? Please help.
Hi, late to the party I guess.

They can enrol under any college under CU. Just avoid Jogesh Chandhra Chaudhuri Law College because that has a lot of attendance rigour and creates a lot of unnecessary drama.
True i don't think they'll hire for 2026 much especially for this particular team coz they already have too many people
Yes but honestly try looking up on LinkedIn for such seniors who are into corporate and doing well with internships and all. Speak with them. They can help you more. And also learn cold mailing. Goes a long way in getting internships.
Ohh okk got it - so if someone has an internship scheduled with her team and in general they are diligent, there is a likelihood of getting a PPO right?
I want a PPO from a firm at Bangalore, hopefully a Tier 1. Which are the best firms in Bangalore for M&A, Private Equity, or Anti-Trust?
I am a 4th year law student and want to plan my internships in a way that increases my chances of getting a PPO. Which city is easier to get a PPO in (Tier 1s)- Bangalore, Delhi, or Mumbai?
Use your free time to get a part time job - remote. Use LinkedIn, use Google.

See if you can help early stage founders. They are more willing to hire.

Else learn a new skill which you can use online.
Did they really place 55 students, if it's true then it's better than NLUJ.
can't, campus is in the middle of nowhere + compulsory hostel residence like every other nlu
Samvad mumbai corp A0- 80k

Juris corp mumbai A0-

Corp - 75k, dispute - 55k
Agreed. Thomas is arguably one of the best lawyers I have met and a great mentor to the team.
I genuinely hope there is a way to do this because I sincerely hate Citrix, and don't know why one particular law firm: Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, formerly known as AMSS, uses it and won't change it.
Still OP here. Please people no "they pay 80k vs no no they pay 40/50k" battles. Please answer genuinely, and quickly, it's important
I am interested in corporate, should i contact IPC to help me get started?
Can't agree more on the ego thing. Most of the people here try to find an escape and satisfy their egos saying that they are preparing for gov exams. In reality, they are just wasting time in the college politics. These people have spoilt the culture.
Will CAM cap marks give PPOs with Manan's team joining them? Or will the numbers decline?
They are looking for interns and a zeroes who can be hired if good. Usually they dont hire without internship.

Gauri is very polite and her team works hard and is understanding.
A bit more clear please. Any teams or partners in particular to look out for? Anything I should study in advance for the internship considering the complex practice area
you come drunk to uni, don't care for hostel timings, and then abuse the wardens, and expect to be treated like a child. there is a other side to the story too.
Any info if it can turn into a full time position? any other information on the firm would also be helpful
For real? I thought everybody who took passed and that’s it’s just a formality!
Quite correct about those places' admins' receptiveness. However, I think the opinion you have expressed about the happenings at Law School are based on the a priori assumption that the problems are "genuine".
Other NLUs don't even recruit that many at a time. Sudhir has been very proactive with recruitment ever since he's taken charge. I don't agree with many of his policies, but we have got to give credit where it is due.
Is this a TNNLU admin posting? Surely... surely, they don't circulate communications from the Office of the Vice Chancellor on Legally India?? :))
So you are saying that in order to protest on a matter happening within my country when I'm a student, I've to give an undertaking that I'll join mainstream politics and contest elections at a later stage and become a career politician?
Any chance you could provide a hint as to what this topper ended up doing after he graduated? Just asking out of ghoulish curiosity :).
She's also a terrific teacher. Had offered a credit course at my university. Very lucid, to the point.
NLS PhD does not have any such weightage at all. JNU is different.
Lol, I am not even from NLUO. You're the one who have brought this matter out in the public and are now running away when confronted with real questions.
Why do they not hand out PPOs? Are they on a freeze? Also, is the pay standard across all offices?
Whattt???? That's not possible. It's a Tier 2/3 firm. How will they pay that much?
Bhai so why are you so jealous? Because you couldn't be one of the rich NRI guys who gets a lot of offers for marriage?
So you are telling me, that i should rather target and judiciary and Clat pg without even thinking about corp?
