I don’t quite get 3 kinds of people: people who watch Karan Johar movies, people who read Chetan Bhagat novels and people who surf Legally India for legal updates/news.
But then I re-assess my displeasure and I realize the three of them have something in common – catering what people prefer/need. Assuming most readers are lawyers/law students I reckon both ‘follow’ BB (yeah, I mean Breaking Bad, really!) and Legally India, but admit it, you ‘enjoy’ Legally India more for reasons stated herein-below:-
- The Home Page is not as crisp and organized but hey! look how beautifully they highlight maximum commented article (in Red) a little lower number of comments in Orange. The least ones in some shade of green. Nice.!!
- Where else will all you ‘oh-so-busy’ Lawyers get to rant about your life at law firm, your bosses, lack of life but at Legally India Comment Section and anonymously so. Yay!!!
- Legally India is way cooler than the Censor Board while reviewing your comments. I mean, come on, had it not been for the liberal moderation LI practices, how would you Associates ever express your displeasures in open. You can’t leave anonymous notes on your Partner’s table. But here, my friend you call tell him to &#@$##### (in those many symbols); can troll other firms and only in the LI comments section will you discover that Khaitan is the No.1 firm, so is AMSS, AZB and Trilegal. Bravo!!!!!
- Legally India believes that to err is human. Very often you will find a typographical error in their articles and at times incorrect facts. They acknowledge it and rectify it without being defensive. Sweet!!!
- Legally India throws one of those parties each year which most of us don’t attend but hey, come on that must be fun. Not many people do things for us lawyers. So, feel grateful and mark your attendance next time. Thanks guys!!!!
- We don’t really know how the cast of BB looks like. But we all know how Kian looks. CUTE!!!!!
There could be other reasons but as the article is only a result of my current employment status, I would refrain; lest Legally India decides to pay/pursue for the same.
By reading the comments you agree that they are the (often anonymous) personal views and opinions of readers, which may be biased and unreliable, and for which Legally India therefore has no liability. If you believe a comment is inappropriate, please click 'Report to LI' below the comment and we will review it as soon as practicable.

1. Glad someone noticed :)
2. 4chan?
3. Indeed.
4. 'Very often'? No fair / true. I'd suggest, 'very occasionally'.
5. It's clearly high time for another one - we used to have one every few months... Working on it.
6. Thanks, I guess, but that picture must be about 10 years old by now and I'm rather more haggard than cute these days.
And a final thing I'm not sure I understand in your closing line - are you saying that if we'll pay you, you'll write nice things about LI rather than damning us with faint praise? Sounds like blackmail. :p
Ps: All LI imitators are crap. :D
and I shall refrain from reproducing the provisions of Indian Penal Code to clarify what constitutes a blackmail. I'm just saying there are no free lunches.
