Hidayatullah National Law University, Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh is organizing Akanksha Soni Memorial National Legal Essay Writing Competition, 2016 in loving memory of its beloved student Late Ms. Akanksha Soni (Batch of 2014).

Theme of the Competition is ” Human and Animal Rights: Expanding Frontiers in 21st Century”.

Topics of the Competition are as follows:-

1. Animals as Live Property?: Move Towards Better Legislation

2. Gender Neutrality and Legal Complexities: Reality or Distant Dream for India

3. Cultural Reformation and Human Rights are Compatible: A Pragmatic Approach by The Supreme Court of India

Prize Money:

1st Prize:- Rs. 10,000/- + Certificate of Merit + A Plaque

2nd prize- Rs. 7000/- + Certificate of Merit + A Plaque

3rd Prize :- Rs. 5000/- + Certificate of Merit + A Plaque
