You will need a laptop from day 1.
Laptops are oxygen…prolly more important.
You may get a netbook two. They are more than sufficient for law school…unless you are a gamer.
I would be glad if anyone who is currently studying at law school could provide the ideal configuration&specifications of a laptop that would be sufficient for 5 years of law school.
It would also be useful to know a specific brand that has a decent battery life, good after sales service and a reasonable price.
Any information will be highly appreciated.
Are the wi-fi connections at law school good or do we have to get something like TATA photon or so for connecting to the internet?
Since, you are at NLSIU you need not worry.. NLSIU has a programme through which it provides laptops to all its new students at subsidized rates. Last, year it had offered DELL Lattitude.
No. You won’t need anything like ‘Tata Photon’ in any of the law schools. The best law schools have wi-fis or LAN networks. Welcome to law school!
what about nalsar do we need it over there.
& in lucknow?
In NALSAR you do need a laptop. it is quite a necessity. and i am sure same is the case in RMLNLU
What about NLU-J?
i was also wondering how to get a laptop as soon as i get there.i got selected in nliu.any idea about the time when they’ll b providin 1 at subsidized rate?
any nliu student?
Hi again Viku.
You can either get a Laptop from your city, or even come to Bhopal and buy one. You don’t have a dearth of shops selling laptops or anything out here.
and to others, irrespective of which national you are going to, it’s better if you buy a laptop.
dear r,
do nliu ppl give out laptops at subsidized rate 4m day 1?
we are not allowed to take our laptops to the classes right ? or are we ?
Laptops are life.
For studies and also otherwise.
Almost all the NLUs have wifi. Your laptop should have around 1 GB ram and 120 GB hard disk space minimum. Dell, HP, Song, Lenovo and Mac, all are good.
College’s sometimes offer laptops at cheap rates. Depends from college to college and year to year.
Laptops help in researching and making projects. It also helps to stay connected with the outside world and get news updates and stuff.
Tata Photon plus and other devices like that are not necessary.
If you cannot afford a laptop then don’t worry. College’s have a computer lab which is sufficient to fulfill your basic needs.
Welcome to law school. :)
