My grandfather’s property from my mom’s side is under dispute now. If you can advise on what can be done or what step we can take on below issue.

My grandfather was from Mumbai. It’s been more than 50 years he passed away. When he was alive he had mortgage the land against some money but nothing on papers. He did not sell the land.

But now that lady from whom my grandfather took the money claims that he had sold the land to her. Once she tried to transferred the land on her name and we had got intimation from court for the same.

My mother and her sister visited court and were asked if land was sold, they said no and court order was cancelled. After many years now her name appears on papers from Tehsildar office and she has in turn sold the land to somebody now. I am not sure how those names were changed. Old property records still have my grandfather’s name on it.
