Ancestor property inheritance

AnonymousLLB 12 Apr 2015, 12:29

Hi, we have ancestor property in the name of my grandfather. He has two sons. Both of them died last year. My father is one of them. There is no will written for this property. My uncle ( my father’s brother) does not have any kids, but only his surveying wife. Can she claim for a share from my ancestor’s property. We are very much taking care of all her needs, but she wanted to sell her share to pass on that money to her brother who is a gambler and drunkard. How can we protect our ancestor property from selling it?

infact as it is an ansectral property the property should devolve upon your father and your uncle as if they are partitioned their property during thier life time and then will the divided shares will be devolved upon the survivors of the family and infact it is not ansectral property, anscetral property means when the property is not partition till four degrees of generation.
