I live in a flat in an apartment building having around 20 flats. One of the owner resident has installed around 10 CCTV cameras in the building including the open car park, the stairs, the verandah and few of the cameras can see inside the flats when they open the door. All the residents except the one who installed the camera is against it. Since the camera is viewed by only members of one flat and it breaches the privacy of the other residents. we have registered a police compliant, but they have not taken any action so far. what are the avenues of help for us legally? And is it legal to spy on people without their consent ?
