Hello Sir,
I am from Bihar.I am working in Bangalore from last one and a half year. I want to get married directly through Court marriage (We have not married yet). The girl is from Karnataka but the address in her ID Proofs voter ID/Passport/Adhar card is not of Bangalore. My address in ID Proofs is of Bihar. But I have rental agreement and Bank passbook address(HDFC Private Bank) of Bangalore. Can our passports alone will suffice our address proofs to get registered in Bangalore? or Can Bank passbook will suffice as address proof ?
Please suggest soon.
Thanks in advance.

Verification of all the documents is carried out on the date of application and a day is fixed and communicated to the parties for registration. On the said day, both parties, along with a Gazetted Officer who attended their marriage, need to be present before the SDM. The Certificate is issued on the same day. Both parties are required to be present after submission of ID for the issuance of public notice inviting objection. One copy of the notice is pasted on the notice board of the office and copy of the notice is sent by registered post to both parties as per address given by them. Registration is done 30 days after the date of notice after deciding any objection that may have been received during that period by the SDM. Both parties along with three witnesses are required to be present on the date of registration.
Thank You.
