Check bounce and Fraud

AnonymousLLB 30 Oct 2014, 15:39

Hello all,

Hoping to get some help here. I have been running around for almost a year now to get some help on this. Here is the story : I paid a huge amount ( about 15 lakh) to a gentleman for leasing a property. He was supposed to return it back to me early this year when I gave him a notice of termination of the lease. However, it turns out he is in no mood to pay and keeps saying he has no money. By some means and help of friends, I got him to give me 5 check worth 4 lakh each dated for the first of each month. He requested me to not deposit and that he will pay. He did not pay and when I deposited the first one it bounced back. I again request him to pay, even if he can pay only small amounts I was ok with it. But he is not even willing to pay a single penny. I asked for police to help but they say bounced check is not a reason for FIR or complaint and police cannot help. I spoke to a lawyer as well but he is only talking about a recovery suit with a BIG lawyer fees.

Can anyone help and suggest what are the possible actions I can take against this person. II am a woman and I feel he is taking me for granted thinking I cannot do much against him. Please do advise.

Thanks in advance

Same as with my party , he agreed to pay some amount and issued cheques ( Not to deposit this cheques in bank he ll direclt deposit in my account ) and he deposited 40% of money in my account ( I didn’t draw cheque ) , for the rest of money he is not paying and i approached bank and cheque was bounce .

PS : Why the same story repeated with me also , is there conspiracy involved cases like these .
