Harassment from ex-bf

Shwetha1990 10 Sept 2014, 01:59

Hi,

I was in relation with a guy from my college in the final year. After the final year I got placed through campus placement and moved to Bangalore. However he didn’t get placed. After that his behaviour and personality changed completely. He came to Bangalore and used to call me and abuse me with all bad words for every small issue. He used to get angry mainly when I used to deny for coming to hotel and stay with him. Unable to take his abuse on my parents from his mouth I told him I want to break up and no more interested. He has continued coming to my office and harassing me verbally, he started calling my home members also and yelling at them with all abusive language.

I am scared to goto police as he might get released after a month or so and come back and hurt me again or my family members.

Please help I am unable to take this any more and scared of going to office now as he has threatened me of marrying forcefully by kidnapping me.

Please help how should I handle this?

Please lodge a police complaint against your ex-bf if he continues to threaten you and harass you, if the police do not register your complaint you can complain to the higher ups and even then if your complaint is not registered you can directly file a complaint before the Court

Hi,

It is a genuine advise as well as a request to you to go and file a Police Complaint. The laws have now been amended/modified in such way that it will help you immensely if you file a complaint.

Don’t be afraid of going to Police.. Due to serious social and political pressure the Police has grown (comparatively) sympathetic towards cases of harassment. Make a detailed complaint and submit it to the police. Do mention in the complaint all your fears and apprehensions. The Police will take care of your ex in such a manner that if he has any sense in him, he will not return to haunt..

There is no use is suffering. Give the Police a chance and have faith in the system..
