Property registered in my name through general Power of Attorney issued to Father
Dear Sir,
I had issued a general power of Attorney to my Dad and registered through a magistrate in Banaglore during Sep’1999. In Dec’1999, my father had purchased a property and registered the sale deed in a sub registrar’s office in Banaglore, in my name but signature on the sale deed belongs to my Dad. The power of attorney original document is with me. The Khata, property taxes paid, water, electricity is all in my name. As he is around 81 years old now, I have the following queries:
1. Anytime in the future, can i sell the property if the need arises, eventhough the signature on existing sale deed belongs to my Dad but on my name.
2. Do i need to re-register the property again in my name with my signature on the sale deed before his demise.
Request to kindly help me out please.
Regards,
Victor
