Hi, I am from Kerala and now living US using my work permit visa. My mother passed away few months ago . I have a doubt on the the propery she indirectly inherited from my grandmother. My mother was the only one duaghter my grand mother had. Property in the question is still under the name of my grand mother and my mother passed away without any will created for this property. I have 5 other brothers and they are saying there is a rule (Kerala) that says any one who born after 1976 do not have any right to ancestors property? So I am (my DOB is 1977) not eligible for this propery. Is that true? They are doing all the paper work without my permission. I am in Visa extention period and I cannot travel to India now. If that is not tue, how can I prevent them from regsitering the property when I am in US. Please help as soon as possible.
